KDB's opinion on the Xfinity Indy Package

I dunno about 'fake', but it ain't racing when the fastest car can't pull away from the rest of the field. It was better than previous Indy X races, but to me it had some of the same characteristics that I already dislike about the other plate races.
Plate racing isn't racing, these cars need to be lifted off the ground, slowed down that way, and be able to make slingshot drafting passes. The plates are a 30 year experiment that should of ended 29 years ago, Nascar just kept throwing band aids and gauze on it hoping it would fix the wound, but it hasn't. I've been a long time advocate of slowing these cars down with a smaller engine package, getting them off the ground ( no splitter etc..). There is no need for these cars to be going in excess of 200 mph at a 1.5 mile track, keep them in the 180s and make them lift going into the corners and the racing will be much better. I just don't understand why Nascar insists they go fast and be bunched up by the fake plate racing is better objective. The executives wonder why the stands are empty, why racing purists are turning off their Tvs and not watching Nascar racing, well it's obvious what the problem is. Trouble is Nascar is too stubborn to give in. Sit the drivers and crew chiefs down in a room for a few hours and they could come up with a much better package for racing then the clowns that run Nascar.

kbooooosh whining cuz he didnt win. hmm. I thought he led 30 something laps. Oh but he wanted to lead all 100 like usual in this series. I was happy to see a series regular beat the cup boys, its a rarity. The statement he made is on par with his mentality, not quite in gear yet. He dont give a ratsass if the series goes under and the fans disappear as long as he keeps winning. He dont realize that he's the biggest problem with that series. When he dominates an ixfinity race, I change the channel or shut the boob tube off.

Kyle Busch isn't why the stands are empty.

One thing no one touched on is how easy it was for them to drive the cars yesterday. There is nothing exciting about racing if a monkey can do it. There is nothing exciting about lead changes if you can do it at will.

I may try and give yesterday's race a longer look so I can form an opinion of it. At the end of the day it really doesn't matter if the racing is good or not as someone will always dislike it. What matters is putting out a product more people are enthused enough about to look forward to going to the track for and watching from home.

I am over the Kyle Busch stuff and IDK why except to say he may be having some fun with it just to rile people and, if so, I think it is funny.

FWIW, others echoed that some speed should be put back in the cars.

“I think anytime you make the cars … slower, they’re easier to drive,’’ said Reed, who finished sixth. “When they’re easier to drive, you’re able to put them in more difficult positions and come out the other end OK and you’re going to have a little more confidence. I think you’ve got to find a balance because at this level a high-rate of speed is what help defines the sport.

“You don’t want us to go down and run 140 miles an hour and wide open every track, otherwise who wants to watch that? Just find a balance. I think that this may be a step in the right direction. It seems like the racing was better.’’

Speed was an issue drivers mentioned. While any driver wants more horsepower and throttle control, there was the feeling that taking away the restrictor plate would be a good thing.

“That’s a start,’’ Busch said.

Speed also was an issue for Ty Dillon, who finished 10th. He’d like more of it.

I would imagine that the most successful driver in the series history would have some valuable opinions on the cars ............ I would listen to his words carefully

There is little doubt the Indy-only setup was an enhancement over that of previous races there and while it may be tweaked I believe a package of that nature is the way of the future there, and possibly at other tracks.

Kyle is a passionate driver who is never happy when he has a bad day on the track. When someone puts a mic in front of him he often says what he thinks (good, bad, or ugly); sometimes he reminds me of Tony blowing off steam. He is getting better at checking his emotions in front of the camera. He does add some spice to the mix.

If he made any sense or had any consistency yeah. If he would have won the Xfinity race the package would be great. When he looses, it is anybodies guess what comes out of his mouth.

KDB? What's the D for? Douche?
What'da I win???

I imagine he can consistently show you the back portion of his race car ..... should you ever be lucky enough to race against the best in the business ;)
