Know the Posters

Probably one of the hundreds at the local dirt track. The one that first springs to mind was a NDRA 100 lap feature way back in the early 80s I guess. All the big names were there, paid some ludicrous amount to win. L.D. Ottinger hit the wall 200 times...every time he exited turns 2 and 4...to straighten the car out for the straightaway. He started next to last, and won the race by splitting two other cars on the backstretch with about 10 laps to go. Amazing.

The last race that Dale Sr. won at Dega was pretty good and I saw the fastest 500 mile stock car race in history won by Mark Martin at Dega with no cautions.



How far do you live from the closest local dirt track?
 
About 20 minutes.


How many different states have you attended a race in?
 
Darlington and then Eldora. I've been to the 600 and to Martinsville coincidentally.


Peanuts - roasted, boiled, or raw?
 
Being by nature a scavenger, and personally specializing in garbage cans, I'd have to say Hamburger Helper mixed with week old oatmeal and topped with a tantilizing array of pickle spears and borderline-moldy cream cheese is right up there.




Do you fish?
 
I fish more than I hunt. Only thing I ever hunt is frogs.


Hunt with a rifle or a bow?
 
Keepers. Love me some rainbow trout, and walleye is right tasty too.

Riding mower or walk behind?
 
Rider only (its hard to push a mower and drink a beer)

Stream for fishing, pond for drowning worms, lake for recreation. :growl:

If you could live anywhere, where would ya live and why?
 
Wyoming...as beautiful of a place as I have ever seen. Very few people to bother me and if I want something to eat, I just go hunting for it.

Alabama (ROLL TIDE!!!) i just love ot down there, nice ppl, love the land, good looking girls, B) i just fell more at home in bama then i do in ky.

where do you like it better......North or South?
 
North...although visiting the south is enjoyable for a while
