Kyle Busch instant classic interview

I would imagine Monster isn't thrilled with the interview as they would have preferred a provocative response.

Monster likes passion which in monsterspeak means drivers going off on one another with regularity. On one hand Monster wants heated exchanges and fights between drivers but individual sponsors don't.

I can't remember what thread it was but there was a quote or tweet from Monster that said essentially the same thing I did. It is no secret that Monster wants drama, conflict and tempers (they call it passion) in Nascar.

Yeah but he'll grow as a human winning races for someone else. He may as well grow up driving/winning my cars.

I agree he needs consequences but that's a tough call for the owner/sponsor used to all the exposure and success. It worked out for Penske though with Kurt that's for sure. Ironically with Kyle's nemesis today.

They must hate AMA then because Supercross don't put up with any shenanigans between riders. Those guys come to blows and one or both are usually suspended. And they NEVER interview guys involved in controversial stuff on the track. Just the top 3 who give the same sponsor laden drivel. I FF through interviews. Monster doesn't get to promote off track stuff as there rarely ever is. Just racing.

IDK what Monster hates or dislikes but I do know they like conflict, drama and passion (meaning drivers acting out).
 
NASCAR doesn't need Kyle Busch -- Kyle Busch needs NASCAR.

KyBu's episodic meltdowns are shameful to witness -- he starts the wreck sequence, then gets violent, then gets manhandled and bloodied, then pouts like a victim.

After the Hornaday incident, there should be no more room for KyBu to act out like an infant; he should be gone.

MarsCo and Joe Gibbs should be ashamed of themselves for supporting KyBu...

Exactly. You could skew perspective and say that it's staged, which, in a way, it is..by Kyle.

I mean for Christ's sake, in this interview and the post race interview, he tries not to laugh when he says it. He's trolling and he knows he's becoming news and he knows that his most common role is the hated driver. So he runs with it. It's still very real bratty reactions, but he's definitely self aware, atleast in this case.That's the Kyle I love (to hate). Kyle is hilarious when he's like this.

That was awesome and hilarious. Sometimes you can say tons more about your stance on a given subject by saying nothing (or the exact opposite) at all.

If he had said something vanilla like 'Joey and I haven't spoken since the incident but I'm sure we'll move on and compete with respect...." yadda yadda, we'd all be pining for something more and call B.S.
