Hey guys.... long time without posting. I used to post sometimes on here when I was in middle/high school.... but I think the Reddit mods might take this post down because it’s slightly too heated but THESE forums value free speech and I will NEVER forget the feeling of being able to post my opinion on here between the ages of 13-16 (last time I posted on here I was 20 going on 21 but THIS is the hottest post I’ve ever posted)... hope you’re all doing alright. Haven’t been this opinionated about something in a very long time. The modern day is messing with MY favorite days of NASCAR, however, so I must make sure my voice is heard. Sorry I haven’t posted here in so many years.... hope you can welcome me back after a long time. ANYWAY....

Can we stop kidding around? Dude has 60
Cup wins..... 200+ total wins and I can’t even keep count right now because they’re so many. Toyota gave him two duds even though despite this massive slump he’s been in..... he still has the most fastest laps run this year. Give Kyle Busch what Tyler Reddick had this year. Everyone can say Austin Dillon gets superior RCR equipment but Richard Childress isn’t an idiot. Cannot wait until next season when KFB commands the Chevy support he wouldn’t have signed on for..... you don’t think Kyle Busch is a better driver than Tyler Reddick who won 2 races this year and tbh could’ve won 4-5? You think he would’ve blown a right front at Fontana sweating Erik Jones? You think he would’ve let himself get turned by CHASE BRISCOE on the last lap of the Bristol Dirt Race (no disrespect) (a race KFB won anyway)..... think he would’ve worn out his equipment in the Clash? Think he would’ve wrecked at Bristol? RCR is better than anyone thinks.... Chevy is fast and RCR’s fastest driver is a dart without feathers who’s just now starting to find his way. Think KFB gets restricted on the races he can run at RCR? He didn’t leave JGR not thinking he could do better elsewhere.... was never a kyle busch fan but he is the best racer of my generation. Way better than a Gordon past his prime..... more talented than Jimmie Johnson slightly. Better than Keselowski, Truex, Logano, OR Harvick (albeit VERY slightly in his case could not truly decide that until 2019).... If Kyle Busch doesnt outperform Tyler Reddick in 2023 AND 2024 Ill post a video of me eating my hat. Mods leave this up if you respect the era of 2008-2021... an era of its own.

EDIT: Mods don’t take this down. I make one post a year.... look at my history. Last year I predicted Harvick wrecking Elliott.... not taken down. Year before I stated Johnson was past his prime after he missed the playoffs at Daytona while his teammate Byron won.... WAS taken down..... I post controversial ****. Kyle Busch is a generational talent. Some people have been suggesting Younger Tyler Reddick + Rookie Ty Gibbs is better than 37-38 year old Kyle Busch..... let people come back to this post and either exclaim I was right or ask me where the video of me eating my hat is.... I DID NOT proclaim this when everyone was hating on BK going to RFR now RFK.... I’m willing to put my money where my mouth is. Kyle Busch will significantly outperform TR next season or I eat a cardboard, plastic and cloth hat live on this subreddit. RemindMe! October 1, 2023... RemindMe! October 1, 2024.

EDIT 2: Mods if you take this down you’re impeding the rights nascar was founded on... an AMERICAN sport where freedom of speech (unless you’re Kyle Busch at Texas in 2010 or Denny Hamlin at Phoenix in 2013) is CELEBRATED. Let me talk my smack. I’ll write a contract backing up what I said if I have to! But I believe that the drivers of the 2008-2021>>>> 2022 and beyond. Let me be right or wrong baby. Someone who sees this before you will screenshot it anyway because NOBODY on this sub has talked as much smack banking on two drivers between 37-42 as I have...... let me prove myself right or wrong.... LFG

EDIT 3: I’m not biased.... I watched Kyle Busch win summer Daytona 2008 under caution after my favorite driver Jeff Gordon got spun around and Carl Edwards didn’t get a fair shake to beat Kyle Busch.... turned my grandmother’s (RIP) television off immediately when the caution came out. Watched him win 7 other races that year INCLUDING a race where he had to beat Johnson AND Harvick on a restart with 2 laps to go.... THAT guy isn’t gonna get outperformed by TYLER REDDICK Smfh. Don’t care how long it’s been. You don’t forget to drive like that unless your boss is trying to kick you out for his grandson. Unbelievable he didn’t kick Truex’s old “I didn’t make the playoffs” ass out and instead grenaded his best driver (Hamlin MAY be better in regards to pure talent but KFB has the resume) right out of the Round of 16..... 9 years of these type of playoffs and KFB never got kicked out of the first round until you grenaded him and even STILL it barely
Happened. Joe Gibbs stop it dude.

Just want to add a couple of things to this post so nobody is confused on where exactly I stand....

Chase Elliott isn’t a top 5 driver talent in the Cup Series..... he ranks after Larson, Chastain (look where Suarez finishes), Kyle Busch, Joey Logano, Denny Hamlin and Kevin Harvick (firmly I do believe he’s 7th though.... let’s let SHR hopefully have good equipment next season and maybe Hamlin falls off..... dude has been gifted the 24 BEST equipment at Hendrick since he got there and only won a title because NASCAR let Harvick take Turn 1 at Texas in the rain)

Austin Cindric/Joey Logano is a dynasty.... Blaney isn’t on that tier

AJ Allmendinger should be a Cup regular.

Tony Stewart’s cars got nerfed after the Kevin Ward incident because NASCAR didn’t want the PR show of him winning.... they gave him one at Sonoma that year because Denny Hamlin let him win after NASCAR rigged it in the first place as a tribute.

Brad Keselowski has one more Cup win left in the tank and it probably happens at Talladega.

Martin Truex also only has one more win left.... if he wins more than one race in his career I won’t eat my hat but I’ll post an apology video directed at Truex.

Where is Jimmy Spence's crying towel when you need it.
Forget the Jimmy Spencer crying towel.... I’ve never been a Kyle Busch fan except when he was in the 5 car showing raw speed and taking the corners harder than anyone.... made for very entertaining television.... watch Vegas 2005 or the 2007 All Star race to know what I mean.... but dude is talented. Can you point out where I’m wrong?

I have no problem with anything you've posted regarding Kyle Busch or any of the other drivers.. They're your opinions, you're entitled to have them.

However, you're way off base regarding freedom of speech. This is a privately run forum (as is reddit), and the moderators have the authority to set whatever rules they want, and enforce them (or not) as they see fit. There is no 'freedom of speech' on a private forum. Constitutional freedom of speech guarantees the government will not take actions to suppress your words. It doesn't require private agencies like reddit or Racing Forums to provide you a soapbox, or for NASCAR to let Denny or Kyle express anything they want while operating under its sanctions.

Oh to be clear I only copy and pasted my post from Reddit where mods have taken my stuff down in the past... specifically a post where I said Jimmie Johnson was past his prime after Byron won Daytona to kick him out of the playoffs..... None of that stuff is directed at the mods here.

That being said, this place is definitely more lax than Reddit.

Of all the things you said you’re gonna get the most crap for this one.

I see how this works. reddit gets the fresh content, we get reruns. This must be what it feels like to get only FX and TVLand.
FX used to televise many a Cup race during the Fox portion of the season. I can’t say I’ve tuned into FX since those times

Kyle will be fine. Next year he'd could end up winning a most popular driver and a Cup championship. I'd like to see him take Hamlin out before the end of this year. Now that would get viewers.

One thing I would caution you on is that having incredible talent is only PART of the equation. You have to be able to work with people, you have to be able to attract sponsorship, and you can't throw temper tantrum's mid-race and have it effect your race. I don't think anyone here seriously doubts Kyle's ability as a steering wheel holder, it's all the other things that come with him that turns many people off. Also, Kyle has been blessed with having at worst the second best cars in the series his ENTIRE career. If you want to start ranking drivers, you have to keep things like that in mind.

I'll just say that if people want to compare cumulative results over Chase's first five years and Kyle's first five, I don't think you'll find that much difference. Kyle won a lot sooner, Chase has better title results. There have been times in the last few years, when Kyle hasn't even been the SECOND best driver at JGR.

WOW, quite a comeback speech there! It be like :jamming: :owquitit::bigfight:

It wasn't exactly laser-focused to begin with.

What?

Kyle Busch's talents, and media hype has been part of his NASCAR image since he was 18. His talents and reputation has been sold to us since 2005, and at times, have even been hyperbolized to greater than they actually are.

Since then, Kyle Busch has amassed 2 cup championships and 60 cup wins. He makes almost anyone's top 10 all time greatest lists.

The only drivers superior to him in ability and success these last 30 years are Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart and Jimmie Johnson. Two of which are GOATS of NASCAR, and the third of which is just one of FIVE drivers to win 3 titles in the modern era (as well as an Indy car championship and millions dirt championships). Outside of those 3, no driver in NASCAR has received more respect as a talent and all time great than Kyle Busch.

So where the heck is the disrespect?

As for Chase Elliott. I don't agree, or entirely disagree. I think it's fair to call him a top 5 talent in cup. Larson, Busch, Logano are the superior talents. But talent doesn't tell the whole picture. Chase is a phenomenally groomed stock car driver, and any minor discrepancy in talent to his competitors can more than be made up for in whatever other attributes make up a cup drivers job. No driver in the last 15 years has been so well groomed for stock car racing. Chase may be a top 5 talent in cup at best, but he's unquestionably a top 3 *driver* in the series right now.

I love the passion but man, this is one hell of a way to come out of the woods. What a mess of a thread XD

It's possible to have a lot of respect for Kyle's skills and what he has accomplished professionally, and still think he has the public persona of a elephant's steaming pile of half-digested corn, peas, and peanuts.

And I mean that in the most respectfully possible way.

Right. And stating that does not mean he's not respected.

Kyle is one of the greats. But he has also been a clown throughout the majority of his career. And deserves to be labeled as such as far as his racing persona goes.

He'll now be making peanuts racing for a team that hasn't been a true threat in forever. Forget "public persona" - that should tell you something about his actual persona as well.

I'd bet some owners would disagree on the Elliott point. And by some I mean all. The results speak for themselves, and to think, he's done it all in spite of his terrible crew chief according to some. By that notion I suppose the field is fortunate he didn't end up with a super smart Cole Pearn-type building his cars and making strategy calls. Who knows how sick of him everyone would be by now if that happened.

if Reddick outperforms Kyle Busch in 2023 and 2024.
Why wait? Reddick's outperforming Kyle THIS year. 2 wins and 9 top fives for Reddick vs. 1 win and 6 top fives for Kyle (who's in arguably better equipment) . But it's your prediction; specify how you plan to measure the comparison.

I don't even think Richard Childress believes that......... Besides, talk like that will give Revman a stroke.
Chevy’s motors have notably had more power than Toyota’s all season..... They also don’t blow under caution at Darlington nor do they blow at Bristol. In theory the cars are spec. Reddick has been fast at every track type and unless you think he’s a better driver than Kyle Busch..... I’d say that the 8 car has been faster than the 18 for reasons outside of the driver this season.

It seems that you're upset KB isn't treated like the GOAT you think he is. Which he isn't.

Toyota’s have the best motors this season. Look at all the 1.5 & 2 mile races this spring & summer.

They both have an average finish of 17.1 for the year, according to racing reference.
