First active Cup driver to die since Dale, right?
In Cup, I think so.
Blaise Alexander was killed in an ARCA race in 2001, and Eric Martin the following year at the same track.

Never cared for him nor did my wife but these past few years she mentioned to me that she's kind of softened on that. I told her that's just because he wasn't winning lol. I remember him rubbing his eyes like a cry baby would then laughing at the camera for all his haters after winning a race. I was a hater but I couldn't help but laugh at that, it was funny. I dunno if this link will work it's a Facebook reel of the crybaby taunt for haters was classic Kyle Busch. That's how I will remember him. That and the fact Nascar made a rule that I personally never liked and wish they'd do away with called "the Kyle Busch rule". Damn you know you're good when a rule gets made to keep you from competing and they name it after you lol
*edited* won't let me link the reel so here's a screenshot
Technically Jason Leffler, though he obviously wasn't full-time.In Cup, I think so.

We know he asked during the Watkins Glen race for medical assistance to be ready after the race ended.I don't think speculation on the cause of death is appropriate at this point. All we know is that it was a sudden illness, no one knows anything else.
It seems like my eyes were deceiving me in terms of Kyle’s weight. He was actually in great shape, which makes this ordeal even more baffling. The death of Kyle Busch is one of the most shocking things I’ve ever learned of in the sports world.
It wasn’t even an accident on a track. It was health related.
I noticed the last year or so he looked a bit overweight and out of shape, but never did I think something like this would happen.
Rest in peace. He will be missed. Way too young.
Please yes.Is it possible to change the thread title to something along the lines of Kyle Busch has passed or RIP Kyle Busch?
