Kyle Busch suspended for both Nationwide and Cup races this weekend

NASCAR has fined Kyle Busch $50,000 and placed him on NASCAR probation until Dec. 31 for his actions during the Nov. 4 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Texas Motor Speedway. Kyle Busch violated Section 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing) of the 2011 NASCAR Rule Book. NASCAR took immediate action, parking Busch for the remainder of Friday night's event and maintaining the parked position for the NASCAR Nationwide and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series events scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at Texas Motor Speedway. On Monday, the parking directive was lifted by NASCAR. In issuing Monday's penalty, NASCAR went on to say that "if during the remaining NASCAR events in 2011 there is another action by the competitor that is deemed by NASCAR officials as detrimental to stock car racing or to NASCAR, or is disruptive to the orderly conduct of an event, the competitor will be suspended indefinitely from NASCAR."

Now whats unusual about that is NASCAR saw fit to handle the situation on Monday rather than their normal Tuesday routine. Wonder why?

M&M's removing Kyle from the webpage is intriguing. Remember, Hendrick fired Kyle Busch reportedly because Kellogg's wanted him out.

Perhaps sponsors wanted it settled before they decided what they would do. I'll bet there is a clause that says if Kyle gets SUSPENDED for his actions, they have an automatic way out of the contract.

Exactly how does a candy have "values"?

corporations have values. they compete for investor dollars like nascar teams compete for corporate sponsorship (dollars). a driver can be an asset or a liability.

WHY, Pee Wee, WHY??

I'm sure Kyle can be good for two races I think the probation should go just a little bit into next season at least the first 10 races of the next cause two races isn't really even long enough.

NASCAR deemed that it was enough. That's what matters at this point. I think sitting him out for 2 races, costing him a chance at the championship in Cup, $50,000, probation with a threat of permanent suspension and certainly a secret probation for 2012 is enough of a penalty. You mileage WILL vary.

But its easy to keep your cool for two races, even for Kyle is all I'm saying. He can make it thought them two races then next season the first race do something stupid and then what? Hopefully Nascar will still do something then, NOT just because it's Kyle but because the crap he does is dangerous and anyone who does that stuff on high speed tracks should be punished. If he did this stuff on a short track I not say as much as I do.

Kyle Busch....... the T.O. of Nascar.

Just like T.O., if he keeps this up, no one will want him. Or at least none of the higher paying teams anyway.

The man is his own worst enemy.

Let's hope he can get some help before he becomes poison to everyone that has a team worth driving for.

Michael McDowell made $140,000 for finishing 33rd. Kyle lost some big bucks this past weekend because he was parked.

Agreed, there's really nothing that can be gained from wrecking Busch. However, there IS something to be gained from finishing at a higher position than Busch.

The physcological torment that Hornaday is going to give Kyle will be classic...He is going to play games with that kid the entire race....The ultimate goal will be to make Kyle LOSE IT just one more time....Someone should start a poll....which lap does Kyle come unglued after seeing Hornaday in his rearview mirror lap after lap.......:growl:

hornaday hasn't shown much in cup before. doubt ron will be close enough to be seen in kyle's rearview mirror much. better chance of seeing him through the windshield when he laps him.

I am SURE that NASCAR will warn Ron about messing with Kyle or other drivers.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the 32 Turner Motorsports team is in Nationwide, not Cup. Can't run a Nationwide car in Cup, right? So i'm thinking Ron is running the Nationwide race.

Yep. Kyle's got to watch his Ps and Qs now. He's already burned bridges with Roush, Childress and Hendrick. If he adds Gibbs to that list, he's running out of options.

He could always start his own Sprint Cup team, but the problem in that would be acquiring sponsorship.

When you posted this I thought... he never drove for Childress. Then I thought more and realized, oh yeah, Richard punched him in the face, I guess that is a bridge burned.

Richard isn't in need of drivers anyhow. Burton will retire soon and he has the grandkids he needs cars for.

Michael is lucky if he gets 10% of the purse. Heck, Gibbs didn't even let him ride home on their plane.

And money. Unlike the Truck Series and the ARCA-CRA Super Late Models he runs, he won't be in a division where the other teams are on a limited budget and he can outspend them. Even if he has the money to do it, he'll be on an even playing field. I think he's gonna find this out in the Nationwide Series, going up against Roush and Childress.

Even with sponsorship, he might find himself spending more money than he rakes in. In Trucks and ARCA-CRA, it pays off because he wins a lot. In Cup, it's no guarantee. Stewart's the only successful owner-driver in nearly two decades. Sure, Rudd Performance Motorsports had limited success, but it takes a lot to be an owner/driver. Stewart's smart enough to do it, being an owner of several dirt sprints and owning Eldora Speedway. It takes a lot to own a successful racetrack.

Remember, Kyle's Truck team has already been on the brink of bankruptcy once. And it was Kevin and DeLana Harvick who helped Kyle start that team up in the first place.

I'm still not sold on the Dillon brothers. They've got talent, but they've also been in top-notch equipment their whole life.

Ty's 1,000 times better than Austin but he's just like Kyle Busch -- takes people out in an instant if they're racing him too hard. And he lucked in to most of his ARCA wins.

Then there's this.....

'Parking' dropped Kyle from 7th to 11th in points. Difference between 7th and 11th in last year's monetary awards: $393,382.00

i doubt dale sr ran dei as a charity organization, even though he was driving for childress. i'd throw mikey in their too. he's a better owner than driver. <g>

Traxxas just came over to Nhra, so maybe if m&ms leaves JGR then they might come over too. What could be better then having the Traxxas girls and m&m candy all around the pits. That would make for a nice 2012 season. "I can wish anyway".:)
