Kyle Bush

I for one don't like the late yellows, it takes away form the finish, but it is part of racing and things happen, if the tables were turnned and Jr. took out Kyle, all you guys would be callin Jr. a hero. Jr. said it best and most eloquent, "Man, I wanted to win really bad, but it was a racin' deal, if Kyle wanted to take me out, he would have done it a corner earlier when I was out of shape." Thats not verbatium, but dam close!! Classy guy that Jr.

Seems to me that most of this thread has been emotionally thought. Yep, there are lots of fans that would wish that all the drivers would drive like Mark Martin and settle for second. Sorry, I'm not one of them and while I'm not the biggest fan of Kyle or his brother, and a big fan of Jr, I still say that was just racing and racing at his best. The only thing that would have been better had the two of them come across the finish line side by side.

And Andy, you're just on your negative sled again. Oh wait, you don't have a positive one so all you do is coast. And I love how you put words into other people's mouth's. You must learn to speak only for yourself and if you want to quote someone else, please don't change their words. :nyanya:

You haven't been on a dirt track race team, i take it.

that is exactly what I was thinking man. Those guys can race each other hard and also think about the other guys equipment as well as their own...(at least most of them <_<) Seems like alot of guys like kyle forget about the equipment when they get up to the top tiers. I wonder if kyle ever had to work on his own stuff on multiple late nights in a row just to get to the track to run up front. Ive been working on racecars for 5 years now and I feel for the guys that have to constantly pull wrecked race cars apart every week and turn them around to be someplace across the country on the following weekend. I am just doing it to run local these guys have to figure in travel time to have a messed up race car turned around and ready to go.

Kyle Busch does care about the equipment. You could tell by his remarks Friday night.

If we're going to keep hearing these comparisons to Earnhardt, we'd better start calling Busch "The Man In Yellow" to avoid any confusion. ;)

Earnhardt Jr. says late-race wreck was unfortunate for Busch also

CONCORD, N.C. – Dale Earnhardt Jr. was obviously upset Saturday night after being taken out of contention for a victory at Richmond International Raceway by Kyle Busch. But his anger level wasn’t nearly as high as many of his fans, and he a reason why on Monday.

Earnhardt Jr., at Lowe’s Motor Speedway for a two-day Sprint Cup Series test, said the roles were reversed last September.

“I took him out at Kansas last year during the Chase [For The Nextel Cup],” Earnhardt Jr. said. “That's really why I wouldn't be any more vocal or angry about it, because I would just be hypocritical in that sense. We both [have] been on each side of it now between the two of us.

“Hopefully, once me and him have a chance to talk about it, we can come to some kind of understanding of where we won't have to deal with it ever again, and we can just go out there and race and try to race each other with a little more respect and have a better outcome.”

In the closing laps of Saturday's race, second-place Busch was running the low line around Richmond’s .75-mile track, with Earnhardt Jr. on the outside. As the two raced into Turn 3, Busch’s car slid into Earnhardt Jr.’s, sending the No. 88 Chevrolet into the outside wall.

Earnhardt Jr. said he’s watched replays of the incident and indicated that he didn’t believe Busch took him out on purpose.

“Kyle was just running hard,” Earnhardt Jr. said. “He was running hard for the win there. Looking at all the stuff, it looks like he got loose underneath me. He was running hard there. It's unfortunate for both of us.

“We'll try to go to Darlington and have a good run and rebound a little bit, points-wise, maybe even try to win there. I ain't ever run that good there. I've done OK, but maybe with the new asphalt, I'll be more competitive as far as challenging for the lead.

“[Richmond] was just hard racing. Kyle has his style of driving. I would have been a little more … I don't know. Maybe I would have run as hard at it as he did. I don't know what I would have done.”

While Earnhardt Jr. was upset over failing to break what is now a two-year non-winning streak, he was also mad at losing points after his 15th-place finish.

“The only thing I'm upset with is not being able to get the points out of it I should have been able to get,” Earnhardt Jr. said. “We've been working hard to stay consistent all year. I want to get as good of a finish as I can with my car each week. I've been real proud of that with what we've been able to do this year and the way we've been consistent.

“It's a little bit of a bruise on the stats with what we've had this year. It won't show at the end of the year how good we really were that weekend. I want to minimize that throughout the season.”

Junior's a class act, almost too dam nice. Listening two this week in Nascar, they were playgin back some of the scanner feed from the race. Right after the wreck, you hear Jr tell his guys "OK, let all be cool, get done what we have to get done and not go out looking like an ass" or something along those lines.

Just wish his "nation" would show some of the class and restraint he shows.

I agree with you VA.......wasnt much of a Jr fan but the last 2 years he has gained a heap of respect from me........as for his fans....nada

i think he should be atleast suspended from the nationwide race this week. after he said he will wreck as many cars as he wants just so he can win he desereves to be suspended. as for his sprint cup incident just proves this kid wont learn until someone has to beat some respect into him

Like I said before, I'm a kinda Jr. fan, but he does have class. I heard a interview with Busch today, he said he's ready for the boo's from Jr. nation,in so many words. Duane

I love it when somebody takes another driver out. If cars get wrecked, so what, thats part of it. If Kyle gets taken out like that at the next race I would love it just as much. I'm a fan of agressive drivers, I can't help it. If Kyle was just some no talent jerk wrecking guys just for the hell of it, it would be different. I admit that he is a jerk but he has talent. It's not like Mike Waltrip. No talent and wrecking people for a 30th place finish.

I'm also not dumb enough to believe that he's not going to get the crap beat out of him. He will tick the wrong guy off sooner or later and I will enjoy it just as much as I do when he dishes it out.

Like Jeff Gordon? LMAO

Gordon couldn't kick his own ass.

I will say that Jr. showed a ton of class. He would have had all the reason in the world to smash Kyles face. I think if Kyle would just keep his mouth shut he would have a lot more fans.

Yep he does stick his foot in his mouth quite often.

Boy A lot of people have forgotton what HARD racing for the win is. Once upon a time Race drivers raced hard for the whole race. That sorta went by the wayside and now Kyle brings it back. The Guy is out there to win, not ride in circles like some of them.

I'm sure if it was Jeff or Jimmy runnning this hard, this conversation would be little to none. But I guess we don't have to worry about that.:p

You know junior did show alot of class by not getting in buschs face after the race or anything, but i bet rick hendrick would have backed him up 100% if he had done that.

Well, there is a certain poetic justice that Kyle is the driver that Hendrick cut loose to make room for Earnhardt. Brilliant, that. A Busch in hand is better than an Earnhardt in the bush or however that saying goes.

Of course, that could have been mentioned in this thread already, but no way in hell will I even claim I read every one of these posts.

spinner baits must be on sale!!! bp is chunking alot of them today!!! :D
I think he is jealous cause he ain't an Earnhardt!!!

Problem is if I were an Earnhardt I'd just be another Kerry, the forgotten Earnhardt and not the kiss stealing, jet flying, limo riding mostest favoritest driver to ever pull on a pair of drawers.

Like I said before, I'm a kinda Jr. fan, but he does have class. I heard a interview with Busch today, he said he's ready for the boo's from Jr. nation,in so many words. Duane

According to Steven Wallace he already gets booed.

Wait a minute, when did Dale Jr turn into Ric Flair?? Can't wait for the strut and the "WHOOO!"

Like Steven Wallace has any room to talk, this year is the first year I have seen him do anything noticable. I understand Steven pushin' Kyle around, all of Stevens problems haven't always been his fault, I guess now he's a little more competitive, he's going to grow a 'tude. LOL Duane:eek:

Good for Steven. He's had a lot of problems, not always his fault, but he's growing as a driver and is getting better every week.

I, for one, am glad to see these Nationwide drivers push back. Kyle Busch causes wrecks just about every race he's in, and then calls it "good hard racing action." If he can't handle being on the losing end of "good hard racing action," he needs to go back to Nevada and race modifieds and dune buggies around the desert.

He gets paid several mil a year and is leading the NASCAR points, my guess is he is that good at hard racing. He certainly is "that good" for ratings!! Any racer that hanldles losing well, is Mikey, 700 starts and 4 wins. I'd put my money on Kyle and his "style" any day of the week. Duane:beerbang:

Maybe, since he's making that much, he should pay for the damages he causes. I'm not saying Kyle handles losing well, I said he can't take what he dishes out on a weekly basis. If you like him because he crashes people, good for you. I'm sure you liked seeing the dark days of racing, watching driver after driver get killed in crashes and seeing millions of dollars in damages unfold on the track.

Kyle shows a lack of respect to every single driver and team/crew member on the circuit. Hell, he doesn't even think twice about bashing his own teammates. The boy may be good, but he's also ****y, arrogant, reckless and dangerous.

It'll make for a good show, yes, but I bet you wouldn't want to be the one to fix the damages.

Perhaps all Kyle Busch fans should band together to fix the cars he wrecks since they're such rabid supporters. ;)

Can someone please put together a specific list of examples of the "weekly" crashes that he causes?

I'd like to see that myself. And pull up the monetary value while you’re at it, Andy. You are putting a broken record to shame.

So you're saying Andy should give it a rest. Oh, what was that, it sounded like the Amen chorus agreed with you.
But I think you'll find that Andy will argue the paint off of a flag pole once he has his mind made up on something.
The best thing is to just leave him talking to himself, which he does quite often. He'll start a thread and it'll go several pages and he'll be the only one posting. (OK, that's a mild exaggeration).

A punk running over people was never fashionable . You seem to have forgot when JJ went through his crashy stage and people were all over him like a bum on a ham sandwich .

This is why Kyle does what he does.. keeps the people talkin about him and in the spot light!!!

Junior is no better than anyone else when going for the win...he needs to stop crying like a little girl when things don't go his way. He's got pressure to produce now...no excuses in Hendrick equipment & he's still not winning. Matter of fact, the 8 ran better all night than he did...that's pretty funny right there. He just can't have it both ways to suit his desires.

re

Dale is doing just fine. He hasn't won yet but is doing much better than last year. He has finished in the top 15 in every race this year except for the two where he got wrecked California where he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and Richmond. And he is 3rd in the ponts. He also won a pole this year. He'll be fine.

Did you even watch Jr's interview after the race? Or did you make one up?

You apparently have zero clue as to what you are talking about.

Where is the 8 sitting in points and where is the 88 sitting?

Ya, I didn't think he was cryin' much, sounded like he wanted to win real bad and it didn't work out, but it was a corgial interview. I to think hes running fine, its like Mark Martin says, he just want a car capable of winning, its up to him to do the rest. Jr. will win this year, not as much as Kyle, but he will win. Duane:growl:

Are yall really insinuating that JR didn't blame busch for the accident & whine about racing hard & getting wrecked ?? I have nothing against him, but if anything was a racing incident, that was. Two guys running hard for the win..that's it. And....the 8 did outrun the 88 the majority of the night, maybe you should rewatch the race, Panther. Oh, and some of you need to take the blinders off...:D
