The "good old days" ??
lol @ breakfast. Must be a milk shake.
Who did he mess up this time? Only thing I really saw was those Gibbs guys getting the shaft but they don't count lol they were too slow to keep up anyway
I didnt even get my hopes up when Kyle led all those laps, I knew it wasnt going to last. If the 4 hadnt broken down he would probably have won, those guys got it going on
The 2014 Sprint Cup season has not gotten off to a great start on FOX.
Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Kobalt Tools 400 from Las Vegas drew a 4.1 overnight rating on FOX, down 11% from last year (4.6), down 23% from 2012 (5.3), and tied with 2010 as the lowest overnight ever for the race since it moved to FOX in 2001.
Overnights have declined for the first three Sprint Cup telecasts this season*.
The numbers have not just declined, but in fact have hit historic lows. Final ratings for the Daytona 500 were the lowest ever, and the final rating for Phoenix was the lowest for the second race of the season since FOX acquired rights. Keep in mind that Sunday’s final rating could still end up surpassing the FOX low of 4.4 set in 2010.
Despite the lower numbers, the race earned the highest overnight of the weekend for a sporting event on broadcast.
* Overnights were not available for the Daytona 500, but the final rating was so far below the previous year (-43%) that it stands to reason that the overnight was down as well.

I was happy to see speed in the car, but I knew that we were several stops away from being a contender. When Kyle loves the car, Dave has got to find a way to keep up with the track. I love it that the JGR boys and MWR guys communicate so well, but it seems that they take each other the wrong way sometimes. I want to see Makar and TRD grab these guys by the short hairs, and give them some direction. I wonder if the drivers have too much say. The season is long.
Not too bad, Bobby.
Well I have to say something about this post of Bobby's TRL.
He won the pool and was given his $70.
The family all arrived back at the motor home before me as I had to return my fanview headset and monitor but there were a million people trying to return their sets.
The Rousch trailer was right behind the fanview trailer and as it was empty of shoppers I ventured over to buy a Carl jacket that I had told Bobby's family that I had wanted to purchase to take home.
When I finally got back to the motorhome the guys asked what I had purchased and I showed them the jacket. They informed me that the girls had just left to buy me that exact jacket because they knew that I had wanted it..What a wonderful surprise just to know that they would do that for me but just to show you the kind of man Bobby is he had donated his winnings to the cause. I am very humbled by their generosity and friendliness towards me.
Bobby and his cousin picked me up on thursday night at around 2am then took me to the family home and took me in for 4 nights of fun and laughs.......and Bobby gave me the tickets!
What an amazing family to give me such an amazing gift!
Thank you Bobby and your family.I will always remember that weekend..I owe you
I could almost like Joey if he would just hit the damn Gym and put on 25 lbs, boy needs to lift!Yup.. Im pretty sure Joey and Brad get along as well as any two team mates you'll find in the garage. He might have some stuff to learn but he's already learned enough from losing .. time to start learning from the front. Plus there's always the argument.. or just the point... that hes only 23.. he's great for his sponsors... he's going to be here for a while and I know Ive said it over and over but he'll only get better.. he's not even close to his prime yet and he's already one of the early favorites this season.
Dont worry youll be alright... I watched the Fords play catch up all year last year and Joey still had the best season of his career.Just once I would like to see Kyle Dominate at the end of the race instead of half way through. It seemed like the guys that were making small adjustments were doing fine. Its frustrating to see them playing catch up already this year
He would be a big boy if he did.. I think he is about 6'3" or so.I could almost like Joey if he would just hit the damn Gym and put on 25 lbs, boy needs to lift!

Except when we have less than 16 diff winners & chase slots are awarded by points standings.Yeah, I don't points don't mean crap this year

I've read several times on here that once a driver wins they will no longer care about winning again. There's even talk of them taking off part of the season to go to the beach. The way I see it, we should have 26 different winners after Richmond.Really damn good point. Everybody forgets about that.
Absolutely Kyle18, but I would rather be strong in 23 races than right now however if I had to choose. Remember that last year at this time we were blazing fast but had the reliability stuff. I think the other positive is that JGR is 7,8, and 10 in points. Yeah, I don't points don't mean crap this year, but in any other year, this would be a solid start. The season is long man. I agree with you completely, however, that it is time to make the right adjustments during the money stop, and win going away.
He's 23 now but his birthday is somewhere around May 24 weekend so almost 24.My daughter asked me how old Joey was, I wasn't sure? How is he, Sliced?
You know how I get when my driver is struggling, just keep reminding me its a long season Rev
I got ya buddy. Keep the faith.....Toyota and TRD want nothing more than to make Kyle Champion.
FWIW, Dave Rogers lost that race, not Kyle.
Over the radio, Dave kept apologizing for making the wrong adjustment. Kyle remained relatively calm.
"...What do we need, Dave? Is everyone getting faster or are we getting slower..?"
"...We're getting slower..."

I heard Dave apologize more than once. He told Kyle he'd get the car right but he never did.Hard to argue your position, but I never heard Dave apologize over and over. A few callers and some radio personalities took that quote to mean that the motor was losing power. SMDH. The car has speed but the JGR CC's and Engineers have some work to do to figure these new set ups out. I believe that they still like to keep stuff to themselves. Time to give TRD the key to the war room.

The motor wasn't losing power, they just didn't make the changes to the car to keep up with the track.
I see what you did there. That wouldn't be very smart when they could use the car and driver for R&D
