Las Vegas RACE thread

No speed at all in the #14 all season so far. They actually lost to both Front Row Motorsports teams today.

All Stewart has to do is win one race, he has done that for 16 years straight. that goes for the rest of them as well..and they will, Kenseth, Hamlin, Stewart, Probably both Busch's, Harvick on and on.

I can handle DW, except when he gets on his Jr or Edwards tagents but I've never been able to stand Mikey.

Honestly, I'm way too busy during a broadcast to even listen to those guys with RaceView, two scanners, etc. taking in the race, and trying to figure out where the race will go. Like them both though.

After a little thought -- I'm beginning to like this idea of "win and you're in" concept. For those who have won a race, it means gambling on strategy, like Dale and Steve did yesterday. Since you have nothing to lose, it loosens up the racing --- it definitely made LV a more entertaining race. Points still matter, but winners can now play on their own terms.

And owl pellets are of interest -- especially to schools. I remember dissecting pellets in college. Interesting things were found in those pellets.

Now that we've covered that crap --- can we get back on topic?

How bout 3 Fords the only teams to lead in every race so far? Same 3 that finished top 5 yesterday :D Sorry.. just have to be a little abrasive here.. Joey highest he's ever been in the standings :) ...that paired with the win from Bristol or Auto Club comin up will be the best start of his career. ;)

Bread you need to stop the negativity and think more positive for once :D:sarcasm: LOL

Just kidding man, love it.

They definitely have the Fords figured out right now and your boy is doing pretty good.

I've been thinking the same thing. I doubt Le Jr takes that gamble under the old system. It also seems the 48 is having trouble adjusting to the new strategies. They had point racing down to a science, and now that doesn't really matter anymore. I think the chase could be real interesting this year.

Prediction: If he's competing for the win, Joey will get spun late at Bristol. He hasn't been holding his line very well.

Counter Prediction: There will be a long green flag run to the finish and Joey will be ahead too far for anyone to have their line messed up. Either that or he runs the show in California :) Then the semi-annual Martinsville lull week.. and back to business lol

That's a tall order with Kez and Kyle in the Bristol race. I hope you don't get let down.

Who did he mess up this time? Only thing I really saw was those Gibbs guys getting the shaft but they don't count lol they were too slow to keep up anyway :D

They've been in every other one too... Joey is actually pretty good at Bristol.. lead laps there in the past 4 races I think... led the most on the night Tony threw his helmet at Matt... I ust say actually that I've been impressed with how many tracks have become much better for him over the past 2 years. Coming into 2013 his worst track was Atlanta statistically and he had the car to beat there.. I never expected him to be so competitive on the 1.5's last year and now I don't expect anything less. Especially given the start they're off to and with the speed the Penske cars are showing... I think I'm in for a good year. :D

Joey is a very good driver. He just needed to be tougher, and he ended up with the perfect teammate to help him with that. Those 2 seem to have a real bond, which is good news for Penske. They have a long history of teammates that didn't get along.

Yup.. Im pretty sure Joey and Brad get along as well as any two team mates you'll find in the garage. He might have some stuff to learn but he's already learned enough from losing .. time to start learning from the front. Plus there's always the argument.. or just the point... that hes only 23.. he's great for his sponsors... he's going to be here for a while and I know Ive said it over and over but he'll only get better.. he's not even close to his prime yet and he's already one of the early favorites this season.
