Legacy to Toyota

Have wonder how this impacts JGR. There was a brief moment in time when Toyota was spread a little thinner and I feel MWR was actually better than JGR

wonder what @StandOnIt thinks...
Legacy is terrible and was getting worse. Who knows if this will be an improvement. When Petty was a part team owner, they went back and forth from manufacturer to manufacturer and it didn't make any difference. They have gone downhill since he left, so who the heck knows. I sure don't.

Petty may have had a lot of wins, but they were definitely known for chasing the dollar and loyalty didn't go far

And that moment in time when Michael Waltrip failed to qualify 19 times in a single season … 13 of them consecutively.

I wonder if this is any part of the disagreement(s) earlier this year between JJ and Richard.

Highly doubt it. The Pettys were known for chasing a buck so if Toyota was offering more than Chevy I can't see why he'd object

WE will always offer more than Chevy unless you are The Felon.

Of course. If WE signed Jesus, you would bitch about his hair and beard.
They are a JGR affiliate, so it's more like I got ya again.
Says who?...Post #24.

Already bought a Legacy Motorclub hat and shirt. Let's go!!!!!!

Jimmie Johnson in a TRD powered Toyota Racing Camry TRD baby!!!!! Hell yes! Got to piss off the Chevy people just a bit which makes it that much better! Yahooooooooooo!!!!!!!

Over my entire career I never heard that. I know they had factory support when others didnt but that wasnt chasing a buck, it was brought on by them winning early.

Seems like a lot of upside for both parties but Legacy have struggled organizationally for a while now, regardless of OEM. The personnel changes made over the offseason will have to come through for this partnership to maximize its potential. They will probably get much more support from TRD than they have elsewhere though.

The Preacher runs people out of business when they outperform him, which Toyota enables by putting all of their resources into the Preacher.

Kind of hard to expand under that model.
Gibbs doesn't build anything anymore or very little. None of the teams have to with the new car, so Gibbs can't command a kings ransom for what he has. It should be an easy changeover.

Find a new narrative....

They can't even see The Felon and his Boys at the front of the Chevy line. Damn straight.

Don't **** on the narrative with factual accounts. Ruins the flow.
