This past year we subscribed to Fubo strictly to be able to see all 36 races. And it worked fine. The cost is approximately $60. Per month.
I just cancelled it as I don't need it again till Feb.
I have heard of a service called Sports TV. They are somewhere around $10-$20. Per month. Has anyone on here used them? Are they reliable and can a subscriber watch all 36 NASCAR races?

Thanks for any input.
 
Sling TV, Hulu, Playstation Vue offer the race channels.
 
Never heard of Sports TV. Sounds fishy. I Think Hulu + Live TV is the best deal. You get access to their entire on demand library of movies and shows (similar to Netflix) plus live tv for $45 per month.
 
On top of minimum satellite cost I just pay an extra $4 per month for TSN
which covers Canada and Nascar. Unfortunately they won't pay the extra for the truck series. I will have to find a streaming for this come Feb.

I had pretty much resigned myself to Hulu Live being the best way to guarantee us being able to watch all 36 cup races in 2020......but now I understand their price goes to $54.95/mo. on Dec. 18, 2019
Now I'm not so enthused about Hulu.
Are there any other streaming services that I can consider?
I'm too far away from any city to use any kind of antenna and Satellite tv won't work either due to trees and mountains.
So, it would have to be a streaming service.
Fubo is $60/mo. And very soon, Hulu Live will be $55./mo.
We have a Roku device and a Firestick.
Thanks for any suggestions.
 
I just go to the NASCAR reddit and the race thread will have links to streams

If it's $20/month, it either doesn't have most of these channels or is illegal.

I use YouTube TV - $50/month and comes with NBCSN, FS1, FS2, CNBC, ESPN, ESPN2, CBS Sports Network (which has a ton of motorsports content) and all the local stations. I've looked at some of the others but none of them offer both NBC and Fox. Plus the YouTube TV app and website are both easy to use. Vue's Android app was a pile of ****. The AT&T/DIRECTV apps were very clunky as well. And on both Vue and AT&T, their websites were almost unusable, which is a no-go since my tablet runs Windows.

For MAVTV, I use TikiLive ($5.99/month). I'll probably end up buying NBC Trackpass as well.

Something else to consider, look into what perks your phone provider offers. A lot of these mobile services are offering free streaming services to lure new customers in.

AT&T, for instance, gives you either $15 or $25 off AT&T Now and will give you the new HBO Max service for free, and AT&T also has some other thing called WatchTV which is completely free, but I think that only includes the AT&T networks (CNN, TNT, TBS, etc.)

You can "cast" to your TV if you're watching something on your computer. I had to do that for the Snowball Derby since Speed51 doesn't have a Roku app yet.

Regardless, what kkfan is talking about involved illegal, pirated streams. Keep in mind, when you watch those, you're taking money away from the networks who paid billions of dollars to broadcast these races on TV for us, and in turn taking money away from the sponsors, the tracks, and the teams.

I sometimes have to use pirated streams if I want to watch Orioles and Jaguars games, but that's only because the NFL and MLB have left me with no options to watch those games except to pay $200/month for DIRECTV which doesn't work great here in the Hurricane Capital of the United States of America.

This may be the single most useful post I've read on the subject, including over in the 'Cable Cutters' discussion.
 
I use sportztv. Its 9.95 per month and you get every sports channel ( NBCSN, FOX 1, 2 NFL, NBA,MLB, all college channels + PPV) this includes hundreds of live channels, ( A&E, BRAVO, AMC , TBS etc...) all in HD. Had it 2 years. Love it

I decided to give sportztv a try....figured for $9.95....I don't have much to lose.
And guess what....I'm All hooked up.
And yes.....it does have fs1, fox, nbc, nbcsn, etc.
So, unless something changes between now and Feb. It appears I'm all set.

Good deal. You also have about 34 Fox affiliates and 41 NBC affiliates from coast to coast. If you want to watch anything you should be able to find it. Cant beat it.

It's a tad more complicated than that, but yeah, i generally try to watch via official channels whenever possible or practical, and only resort to illicit streams when it's content that is literally not available to me. I don't hold anyone's personal decision against them, especially when in reality the option for many given financial constraints is watch illicitly vs. don't watch at all.

The Sportz TV thing sounds like a great deal while it lasts, but it's obviously less than fully legal.
 
I pay Comcast over $1400 per month, but this is in a combined personal and business context. They steadfastly refuse to bundle anything and want me to have individual accounts at every location, with no bulk discounts. I've started to find some 'creative' ways around this, or I'd be paying them considerably more. I've dealt with two installers employed by them who were glad to give me insights into how to get as much extra for free as possible, as they depend on their jobs but loathe the company's practices.

The upshot of this is that I always have a bunch of Xfinity logins to give out to friends to watch races and games.

Its been around a while, I've had it for 2 years, Just a name change since ive been streaming. I use a VPN so If they are shady Im protected.

I use cable because it's easy for my wife and visiting parents to navigate, and the easiest decision in a confusing sea of increasing options. I'm willing to pay for those conveniences.

Some may consider cable a waste of my money, but it's my money. I consider pissing away alcoholic beverages and sucking nicotine deliver systems to be a total waste of money, but it's not my money so I usually don't pass judgment on discretionary spending. As long as it isn't keeping anyone from making the mortgage payment or buying the prescriptions, what difference does it make?

Not many people died from to much cable tv, can't say that for booze and smokes.
 
Note that I am discussing only discretionary spending, isolated from any other issues.

Maybe I'm the only one but many posts from those who have abandoned cable seem to have a snarky, judgmental 'I'm smarter than you' tone. Those posters usually discourage me from looking at streaming more closely lest I become like them.
 
I am one of those Reddit users. Half of the year we travel. Many times we have are camped in the woods and have no satellite connections and limited OTA channels. Regardless if we can get OTA channels most races are now on cable. I use Reddit streaming when no other option is available.
You can get a great quality stream from Reddit. You can stream it to your phone, laptop or TV.
For those of you that say it is illegal, don't be so hypocritical. I doubt there is anybody on this board that hasn't gone over the speed limit. That is illegal too.

I don't do that either, at least not intentionally, and I slow back down as soon as I notice I'm doing it.

So if you want to start down that road then yeah, I'm going play the moral superiority card. "Everyone else is doing it!" didn't cut it with anyone's mother and it doesn't cut it with this mutha. It's knowingly trafficking in stolen goods.

But note that I didn't go here first.

I pay for a service provided through a legal payment process. I dont ask them the interior workings of the website.

Ok, I get it...6 months of the year I pay close to $150 month for cable and I watch the NASCAR races. If that was an option the other six months I wouldn't hesitate to pay. But it isn't, so I watch the race the easiest way I can.

Also - That doesn't include the additional fees I pay for ESPN+, MLB Extra Innings and NBA League Pass.

My reply was more because he said he has cable because “I’m not a poor”. Meaning people who use alternative methods do so due to being poor?
If it’s convenient for you and you are used to it, it’s ok to pay for the convenience. But wanting to save money and being poor aren’t the same thing. The reason I don’t have cable or any similar service is because I wouldn’t use it.
If I need entertainment, I have loads of DVDs of movies and tv shows I have not touched yet.
The only thing I would want on cable is live races and I’m not home on weekends ever, so I don’t care about that.
Though if I did have a use for cable, I would look into alternative cheaper sources as I do prefer to pay less for things if I can.
I also don’t fly first class, not due to being poor, but i feel it’s not worth the money.
Maybe some people feel it’s worth it, but no need to bash other people who are trying to save money by calling them poor.
 
YouTube TV is the way to go if you are unwilling to use illegal free streams
