👍 Forgot about that medium. Wondered how you knew since nobody had mentioned Joey's team talking him through the last few laps.

So the 22 team got what they wanted as well.

I wish fans could understand that "rubbin's racin" doesn't apply to every situation. There's a difference between a bump and a dump. There's a difference between being moved and being wrecked. There's a difference between an unintentional racing deal when a guy gets loose off corner and puts the squeeze on the outside car, and intentionally overdriving a corner to smack someone from behind and completely take them out of contention.

False equivalencies everywhere. Like everything in life, context ALWAYS matters. Nobody seems to understand "an eye for an eye" anymore. Some fans let their bias get in the way, some fans don't think things through, some fans just lack the intelligence. But we all see things different ways, and we're all entitled to our opinions, so it's all in good fun.

I'll just say this.....I know Logano was desperate for a win, I know he was pissed at Byron for the way he raced him on the restart. But Logano's lack of foresight will come back to bite him. I think there's a VERY good chance Byron returns the favor, and Logano better hope it isn't at a critical time late in the season.

Bingo. Just wish Byron hadn't gotten run down from 9 tenths back to let Logano get to his bumper. I blame Bill Elliott for jinxing it.

Logano was willing to trade what might come down the line to be in the Playoffs. So be it.

Byron should save the payback for when it's going to actually sting, here's hoping he goes full Kenseth should the opportunity present itself 🙏.

Would like to see Baby Jesus go to work on his post-race trash talk in the meantime tho... all for the lite name calling on Logano but then it got a little cringy with "can't win a race" while he's holding the checkered flag in the background eeek, good follow-up with another name call tho.

Yeah that’s cool. And if Byron’s still in the playoff the 22 can turn around and do the same ruining his year too….and They can just keep doing it to each other costing each more and more potential playoff points or knocking the other out Totally.

Logano has one coming sorry to say, he has to know that. When it happens who knows. If he retaliates after the score is evened, that's a different story.

That's the thing though.. in his eyes they are even.. if Byron does something else.. regardless of what we think.. he owes him.. again.. thats not going to change. Byron needs to suck it up and control his car better next time he makes a pass for the lead.

Not if the contact was so little that it’s almost unforgettable. I’m basically saying just a tiny little touch that doesn’t change anything at all about the race…
 
Nobody remembers who finishes 2nd.
Run what you got and cross the checkers first.
If you get dumped well you should’ve been farther out there.
This car is junk, just like the last car.
If you’re worried about getting moved then make sure you’re not available.

And all I’m saying is, I hope people will race Joey that same way, since you know he would get revenge for even the smallest contact, so do the same to him, everyone should.

I think Byron would be wise to let it go. Joey spent the first few years of his career getting pushed around and doesn't take any ****, real or perceived.

Regardless of who was in the right here, the smart thing for Byron to do is to not let it escalate, even if he was in the right.

Get to a guy and dump him for the slightest of contact when it's clear he was trying to stay off of him? Not much racing in that.
 
And to think at one point I was beginning to like Joey. Hope Byron right rears his ass into the wall

It should be said Joey did not need to move Byron to win Darlington, he had the faster car at that point and really the fastest car he's had all year which is why I'm guessing he was so perturbed about brush contact with 0 in the win column, if he takes the high line when Byron dropped low he passes him down the next straight with the run he has coming. If he's not happy about it, get on his door and let him know. There was no need, and it's not even close to an eye for an eye, big difference between incidental door on door contact when you're actually trying to race someone versus flatout dumping the leader.

I'm surprised at some of the takes here

Which makes it even worse tbh. You know it was an accident, which sets himself up to have to drive PERFECTLY now. He can’t make any mistakes himself or he deserves to not finish.

That makes it even worse. Let's look at the facts:

- 24 accidentally squeezes 22 into the wall. What is the result? 24 has the lead, 22 ends up a couple lengths back, no damage.

- 22 intentionally dumps the 24. Not a rub, not a bump, he just sails it into the corner with one intention: knock the 24 out of the way. What is the result? 22 wins, 24 was wrecked. 22 was much faster and could have passed him clean, but decided this was the route he wanted to go.

In what world is this fair and equal? Joey must really be screwed up in the head, I think he has PTSD from the stunts Hamlin used to pull.
