Martinsville Pre Race Thread

I am ok with that as long as Kenseth doesnt. Kyle needs to make up some more points on Matt and time is short

They all are running an "experimental" setup for this race according to Denny. They all either do good or bad apparently.

This weekend some of those experimental setups are in all three Joe Gibbs Racing cars — with Kyle Busch starting third and Matt Kenseth starting fourth. Kenseth is second in the standings (four points behind leader Jimmie Johnson) and Busch is third (26 points behind).

“If we all run good, that's a good sign, but we all could run bad, too,” said Hamlin, who has four career wins at Martinsville. “We've all got the same stuff this weekend.

Do you suppose that they are using experimental engine stuff too or just chassis set ups. From what I have seen so far the experimental TRD engines have failed quite often.

No, probably just setups.

It would be mega stupid to make Kyle and Matt run untested engines at this point.

Experimental setups can be disasterous too but at least they can be tweaked. Just hope they're not too far off.

Time for you to sweat bullets from now till the race starts. :D

I been sweating for a while now LOL
Got a little reprieve after Talladega but not as much as I wanted
Time to stick some more pins in my Matt Kenseth doll

Good luck to your guy and enjoy the race !!!!!!!!!

Thanks. I'll probably over sleep as usual and miss the first few hundred laps. Hehe

The Air Titan made it here and so did I.

Are you giddy over finally seeing that thing in person? :)

According to Ricky Craven's "Rule of 72" on ESPN, six drivers still have a chance at the championship:

Johnson
Kenseth
Ky Busch
Harvick
Gordon
Biffle
Earnhardt Jr.

I would give you $20 if you took a sledge hammer to that thing and destroyed the precious Air Titan.

$20.00 more if you take the same hammer and hit Jimmie Johnsons Car.....
He can't, the only sledge hammer around was taken by Nascar officials yesterday after it flew onto pit road.

Which happens first today; Hamlin's engine blowing up or KyBu's brain melting down?

Hope everyone enjoys the show today !!!!!!!!!!! It should be a good one

SHORT TRACK RACIN :partytime

Yessssir, this should be a good one.

1. Kenseth
2. Earnhardt
3. Keselowski

Congrats to Jeff Gordon! Really happy to see him win again. Did I just say that????

Speaking of hot dogs, you and I sacrificed our pride for the good of the forum and posted pictures, point is, pictures of Fender is mandatory. :D
I couldn't get him to do anything intimidating enough to warrant pictures.

Met Fender today. It was great to meet up with another forum member. Good guy. And that's not all of the Bud Lights talking.

You aren't talking to me, I posted this last Thursday, I came pretty close

Going to go by quick, only 263 miles. JJ's going to be tough alright, Jeff has been up on the wheel lately too, Jr seems to have woken up, and if Kasey can find the track o_O. Hamlin might squirt up to the front, he is pretty good at M'ville, Kenseth will probably run much better than his stats. I think most of the chasers will be trying to stay out of any fender bending until the last few laps. I'm thinking it will be a wild finish.

"It's over"

"JJ will win"

"Kenseth isn't good at Martinsville"

Hamlin 7th
Logano 14th

Tomorrow's breakfast menu: Crow with side serving of crow.

I love Martinsville. One of my favorite races of the year.

Jimmie will dominate but won't win it. Victory will go to Jeff Gordon.

I called it. Jimmie kind of dominated and JG won it. I had a feeling all week this would be the outcome.

Congratulations JG!

Doesn't he know every time you drink non-Miller products Brad Keselowski cries?

Yes yes, I was wrong, I don't mind being wrong though. I had a great time and saw two great race at M-Ville, so I ain't even mad.
