There is a good reason for football to have playoffs. In football, one team plays another team each week. Near the end of the year, they match up the best teams of the season against each other to make sure the best teams from the year have a chance to play against each other to determine the very best team.

In racing, every team plays every other team every week. So the best teams are matched up against each other every single time they "play". No need for a playoff in racing.

Which is stupid. For the life of me, I can't figure out why 16 of 30 NBA teams need to make the playoffs for any reason other than money. The same goes for NASCAR now, with 13 out of 28 full-time drivers making the Chase. At some point, you just don't deserve to be in championship contention. Same reason I think Gooddell is a moron for wanting to expand the NFL playoffs to 14. Just give everyone a trophy already.

If you think that's bad, in the late 80's/early 90's, the NHL had 21 teams and 16 of them went to the playoffs. You had to REALLY suck not to make it in.

Nope not buying it, Kyle has won multiple races in all three series this year and won more B-mains than anybody EVER has. Kyle is less than a race worth of points away from Kenseth right now. Mr Busch is only 28 years old..............he has many many years left to win that cup. Kenseth was brought in to win a championship and he just might ................................ Is he a better wheelman then Kyle ------------------ HELL NO

Just my slightly biased opinion .................. others may differ :)

We had a discussion last night about the quality of the 20 car, I think its a vastly better ride then it has ever been and I dont believe the 18 can compare. I dont pretend to know why the 18 hasnt been up to the task but something is lacking :(

I've said this before but the current points kinds of defeat the purpose of the chase. It will be a close points battle regardless.
 
Couple of loose screws and one loose nut...that's the problem with the #18.

This is exactly what they said about Gordon.

He won his 4th by age 29 and people were guaranteeing he would get to at least 6 by the next few years.

That didn't worked out so hot did it?

With each year that goes by Kyle's chances decreases ever so fast.

I still think he's going to win 1 or 2 before his career is over but he better re-adjust his attitude because right now he wont ever win one because he's always getting into skirmishes with other drivers while competing for a championship. You cannot do both.
 
And just to add fuel to the fire..

Kenseth won his first and only championship thus far in his 4th full season while Kyle is in his 9th full season and hasn't.

I enjoy watching all 3 series but Nationwide is my favorite. If given the choice I will attend a Nationwide before a cup race. To me the racing is better although the races are a bit to short.
Of course my driver can wheel a Nationwide car better then anybody that ever drove one :puffin:

No idea.

I had just recently come back from a 4 or so years hiatus.

Back when I first joined here we used to count down the days from after Homestead to the Daytona 500 using pics of cars numbers corresponding to the days till Daytona.

We also had quite a few awesome members to pass the time. It used to be a nice little close group of guys. So unlike what it is today. Today we got fighting and arguements every day.

I agree with the other posters that say they think you and slice are the same person. Both of you are confusing fact and fiction and are trying to defend the indefensible

It seems like a great site too me. I have seen a few tussels but they all seem to be harmless and friendly. I would really like to stick around here if you guys can put up with me. What happened that ran all the people away from this place ??

I assure you that we arent, besides he is a Joey fan.
Kyle has won more Nationwides than anyone else, that is a fact that doesnt need defending. I have seen him wheel one of those cars and he does have them figured out IMO

When I left most of those folks were still around so I dont know exactly. Life happaned. lol

I personally left because of a falling out with someone who at this point cant even remember.

There are probably remnants of that conversation around in the database somewhere. :p

I was shocked to learn some people take this stuff VERY seriously. If someone annoys you, block them.

It would be great if life were that easy.

We do get a bit defensive of our drivers though dont we :D

Talking face to face is so much easier then talking on a forum. very hard for me to figure out if a person is being mean or just kidding around. It takes a lot of time to figure everyone out on a forum. Then there are people like me that no one can figure out :rolleyes:

I'm still passionate and get in heated arguements but nowhere near like I used to when I was like 19-20. Those things just roll off my back easier now.

I can honestly say there have been just 2 occasions when I got a little pissed, and it was the same person attacking my family.

So I went fishing and let him get himself banned.
