Trevor Bayne can't draw a sponsor to NW and I seriously doubt Menard's sponsors him at RCR in place of Menard.

One career win, six top five finishes and 20 top 10s in six years (most of it spent in top-quality equipment) hardly screams improvement. His Nationwide Series career stats aren't much better. He's good but let's be honest, almost 75% of the Cup field could do a lot better in the type of equipment Menard is racing in.

McMurray's also won Indianapolis and won at tracks like Charlotte. Waltrip's the only Daytona 500 winner that I'd really say doesn't have talent because all his race wins required restrictor plates.
But Cope can still walk into his local bar and be the D500 winner hero.

But almost every other driver to win an RP race has found a way to win at other tracks. Derrike Cope, John Andretti, Jamie McMurray, Ward Burton, Dale Jr, Kevin Harvck, Matt Kenseth, Sterling Marlin .... all those guys found victory lane at non-RP tracks. Waltrip and Spencer never did.
