So did Dale Earnhardt. She causes wrecks in every series she's been in..

So did Dale Earnhardt.
What a flipping joke... I would take Danica being in a good cup ride for 20 years then ever seeing Duno in ANY race car.
Too busy today.
Not because he was 20 mph off the pace.So did Dale Earnhardt.
Certainly deserved those wins. But saying someone shouldnt be in nascar bc they cause wrecks is weird. Earnhardt did it. Harvick does it. Kyle Bush does it. Kurt Busch does it. Gordon has done it.But he won.
Didn't IndyCar make the minimum lap time requirement faster partly due to her? I don't remember it being 105% before a couple of years ago. Then the tests should be harder and whether or not she is a liability is what is at question here.
They deserve to be in nascar because they are competitive.
Not expecting much, but I'm still curious to watch her in a stock car.Milka Duno has never been competitive in anything, ever. She "won" a few races in her class in American LeMans when she had two co-drivers.
Maybe that's the point. Get her in Nascar to show how good Danica really is.
Too busy today.
She drove 2013 with Venturini Motorsports, which is an ARCA powerhouse, and she still had only two Top 10s the whole year. Her teammates combined for six wins, twenty-two Top 5s, and forty-two Top 10s in sixty-four starts. It wasn't an equipment issue. Not trying to defend Milka on her indy or arca stats...but you need to factor intangibles like the quality of the teams and equipment and most importantly the $$$ those teams each drove for, when you make head to head comparisons. Same goes with Danica vs any of the drivers that came up with DP as rookies.
As for comments made about Milka being a hazard on the track. Every driver out there can be a hazard at any given time if they overdrive or underdrive what the car gives them. Kurt and Kyle Busch, Joey, Brad, Jimmie all have made supid decisions that caused wrecks this season.
The only way I'll be for this is if RAB Racing spends that nice oil money on the #99 car. Alex Bowman and James Buescher (especially) are better than they can show in that ride.Obviously she is pathetic when she compares poorly even to the likes of Danica.
Still the same I find the Milka outrage and 72 year old Morgan Shepherd outrage hypocritical. We do not have an absolute system to get the absolute 43 best drivers on the Sprint Cup track. Unlike making the football team were a coach sucess is directly connected to weeding out the absolute best, a racing team owner may have to compromise on the taking the best talent and take a better buisness choice or someone who brings in more money.
I am sure this is not new to you or profound to many, and just 101 to those with with critical thinking capabilities. The simple reality is that if they were choosing drivers on pure driving talent Danica while superior to Milka wouldn't have a cup ride either. The point isnt even debatable she isnt even close, and she has accomplished the minimum on the track while in premium equipment.
She is there because she has brilliantly marketed herself and satisfied GoDaddies and Tony$ need And her sports illustrated portfolio indeed was part of the overall brilliant marketing portfolio that has made her a household name.
A lot of self righteous folks will defend the path Danica has chosen and I will not be surprised if this post gets deleted. Most expressed thoughts that arent icky sweet nurturing and absoulutly gentle are taken as vindicative hate.
But Milka is another story, she gets the outrage while neither deserve a cup ride based on their demonstated abilities. Danica isnt a top 50, and Milka isnt a top 100, so whats the big deal?
In pratical terms Milka is just as legitimate to me, she is bringing in money, and jobs. She is good for Nascar heck we might even get some Latino girls interested in racing. So if she can make the minimum speed and qualify, the degradation or credibility will not be any more compromised than it already is at the present.
