Weather update:
Martinsville Speedway appears to be nestled between a stalled cold front to the west and hurricane Sandy to the east. What does this mean for today's NASCAR Sprint Cup race? It means we should be able to get the race in and completed with few, if any, interruptions.

70% chance of racing.
Take it as it comes, I guess.
BTW, some nice pictures you had there. Thanks.
It's a 30% chance of rain, AFTER 4pm. Then it increases to 40% tonight. We'll race today for 500 laps around the paperclip.
That doesn't make any sense to me. So they basically told people that were already OUT of the way, to go INTO the path of the storm? And people listened?Martinsville Speedway asked campers from MD, DE, NJ and others in Sandy's path to head home ahead of Hurricane Sandy. Track said nearly 3,000 campers left. They expect their attendance to be affected very much by Hurricane Sandy today.
They told them, last night, to leave. I should've cleared that up. They were concerned about people leaving the track today and heading in to the storm's path -- especially if they didn't know the storm was coming. That doesn't make any sense to me. A 102 year-old man today is attending a NASCAR race for the very first time. He got to meet Jeff Gordon in the driver's meeting.

I'm staying. Riding the storm out.
Very smart move.
This truck finished with the same result its sponsor will finish with: a loss.
Denny Hamlin was the coolest guy I've ever met.
