NASCAR 2014 - BOLD Prediction Thread

I found this forum through searching for 2013 predictions and finding this thread.. and today I was given my first anniversary trophy :D Good timing that this thread was just made.. must be pretty much to the day from last year then eh?

Although I wouldn't mind seeing this happen... I see Kurt doing much better than people think. Hence my prediction... from what he's done the past 2 years with under funded teams.. once he gets a endrick engine under him... It's no gona matter if Tony and Harvick do bad... IMO.... and Danica... well I don't even look at her as part of the team... lol its funny really when I think SHR I think Tony Kurt Harvick.. and a Go Daddy commerical

1. SHR does not have the resources to support 4 competitive teams
2. Tony will never be the same after his accident...let's face it he's not a kid anymore, in 2 more years he'll be the next Terry Labonte or DJ
3. Harvick will constantly b$tch about his CC crew and equiptment, which will affect his on track performance causing incidents with many other drivers.
4. Kurt.... see KH above plus he'll be verbally abusive with his CC, crew etc...
5. With all the new driver/CC combinations there will be little to no chemistry causing poor overall performance
6. Danica will be Danica...at least she can sell tee shirts and hats

LMAO No I just mean that last year you had to have made it pretty much around the same day because I usually search for thing within the last 24 hours as Im always looking up nascar news, predictions, etc.... So the fact that this thread was started right before my 1 year means that it was most likely started about the same day last year... Just commending u on your consistency. :D

Like I said Kurt did fantastic given the equipment he has been in the past 2 years. He brought a single car team into chase contention that was never even close before, he nearly won a race at Sonoma in a broken 51 Finch car the year before.. and has clearly matured a lot since his altercations over the past couple years. I think Kurt is the most talented of the three and I believe he will do the best of all of them because he's finally going to be in a car with resources that can bring him above where he has been. My main point is that if he can do what he has in those past 2 cars... he'll do better in this one. I don't see how anyone could think otherwise really.

That being said, I do believe there will be about half a season of growing pains and terrible finishes amongst the entire team.. but you give them until about the 600 and I bet they start comin around..

I agree Tony is on his way out... even without the injury he's only got a few more seasons in him..

I don't like Harvick and I hope he fails miserably... but he probably won't bc he's a hell of a driver.. but he wont perform as well as Kurt this season because he's been with RCR for 13 years. Kurt has been in 4 different cars in the past 4 years.. and has done decent in all of them... he will adapt to the new surroundings better than Harvick because of that.
 
Let's try to keep this thread geared towards making BOLD predictions and discussion about those. I'm just trying to keep it as easy as it can be for me to weed through all of the banter for the predictions that I need to record for the game.

I hear ya.. if only people would listen and put them in bold.. that's a good idea on ur part.. I couldn't imagine having to sift through this in another month to find all the real predictions if they weren't bolded... must have been a pain the last couple years eh?

Usually in sports, when a team is assembled of already established superstars, it rarely works. Egos and lack of chemistry override the talent. HMS is full of superstars too, but it works because Gordon and Johnson were homegrown, everyone wasn't thrown together at the same time. But with Stewart, Harvick, and Ku. Busch all working together for the first time, it may be a recipe for disaster.
 
Marty D has stolen my only bold prediction . Can we gat a ruling on this or doesn't seniorty count for anything ? :) And how do you make stuff appear in bold print anyway ? Is if okay to upload a nurses prediction if you can't think of one of your own ?
 
Well a lot of the predictions I would have made are gone so I'll go really bold, a rookie not named Dillon or Larson wins a race this year.

I think she will improve with Kurt, Kevin and Tony all over at SHR and Mark Martin helping her develop. That's a stout group of people to be working with.

Possibly, but unless any of those guys is actually driving the 10, I think that team is headed for another points finish in the 20's.

She is not 18. her skill set is going the other way. just because someone shows you how to do something doesn't mean you can do it too.

She finished in the top 15 her first time out at Martinsville. Last I checked, that takes talent. And it's not like Stewart Haas lit the world on fire last year. Tony Stewart only had eight top 10 finishes in 21 starts which is way below par for him and Ryan Newman barely squeaked in to the Chase. Actually, Newman didn't make the Chase. NASCAR penalizing Martin Truex for breaking no rules is what put Newman in the Chase.

Damn dpk, you should be a lawyer. ;)

Jr will have a terrible start and Steve will leave the pit box before the chase starts. Jr will perform better on the track, but he'll still fail to make the chase.

Just to prevent any confusion with the Amy prediction. ;)
