A New Year is upon us and it won't be long before drivers take the green flag for the start of racing at Daytona International Speedway. With that said, it's time for those that visit the racing-forums.com board to step up and post a BOLD PREDICTION concerning the upcoming 2019 NASCAR racing season.

Up until last season, one and only one prediction was allowed to be submitted by each player for the sake of simplicity in keeping track of the predictions. However, beginning last year multiple predictions by a player were allowed with the concept being that making multiple predictions is that much more bold. Multiple predictions will be accepted again this year but each player is limited to a maximum of three.

As predictions for all three NASCAR series (Gander Outdoors Truck, Xfinity, Monster Energy NASCAR Cup) are acceptable, the deadline for a given prediction will be the green flag at Daytona for the race series that the prediction concerns. Consequently, predictions must concern events that happen from the time that the green flag flies at Daytona until the checkered flag flies at Homestead.

Posted predictions will be compiled and then posted periodically throughout January and February until a final list is posted on February 17th, the date of the Daytona 500.

Throughout the race season the list will be updated periodically as to which predictions have been so far proven to be true or false. After the season's final races at Homestead, a list of predictions proven to be entirely true will be posted for all to vote on as to which true prediction was the most bold.

For those making multiple predictions in their post, all individual predictions must be proven true in order for the entire prediction to be considered as the most bold
.

Before making your prediction, check previous predictions to avoid making the same one that had been posted earlier. If identical predictions are made, only the first one to be posted will be accepted.

A list of previous winners of the game is as follows:

2011 - 46.2% - @dpkimmel2001 - Paul Menard will win his first Cup race with RCR in 2011

2012 - 50.0% - @FenderBumper - Brad Keselowski wins 5 or more races

2013 - 47.2% - @BobbyFord - Matt Kenseth will get 5 wins in the JGR #20

2014 - 72.5% - @Wrangler1 - HMS (5, 24, 48, and 88) WILL NOT be among the final four eligible for the title

2015 - apparently lost due to the Board crashing

2016 - 43.5% - @Zerkfitting - Tony Stewart will win a race this (2016) season

2017 - 56.1% - @SlicedBread22 - No Chevy's in the Final (Championship) Four

2018 - 47.6% - @Snappy D - Matt Kenseth is driver of the #6 car by the 2nd half of the year

GOOD LUCK TO ALL !!!!

Rumor has it that last year's champion, @Snappy D, borrowed this hat before making his winning prediction . . .

Here are my 3

1. Daniel Hemric wins 2 races
2. CGR has 8 wins as a team
3. 6 of the 2018 playoff teams will not make the playoffs in 2019

1 Logano won't repeat
2 Toyota will dominate the Cup series
3 By seasons end, Clint Boyer will be unemployed.

What exactly does "dominate the Cup series" mean ?

Most trips to Victory Lane ?

By a playoff team, I'll take that to mean the same owner/driver partnership.

Meaning that the #78 team and #41 team of 2018 are already guaranteed not to make the playoffs in 2019.

I'm going to add

Truex finishes the season with the lowest average finish of the JGR cars.

I might end up making this my only prediction

As I see several somewhat vague predictions being submitted, I strongly suggest that they be as specific as possible.

Trust me, this will end up benefiting both me and you in the long run.

Also, if you make a prediction and then follow it up with another one, specify if the follow-up prediction is in place of, or in addition to, the earlier prediction.

Bubba and Byron both get their first cup win, and AJ Allmendinger drives in more than 5 races this year.

Yep, I think they'll win the majority of races. Not a total blowout. But I think they'll win 15.

@mack

Based upon your response, I'm taking your "Toyota will dominate the Cup series" prediction and adding "and will win at least 15 races" to it.

okee dokee ?

Here are my 2019 BOLD Predictions:
1.) Jeffrey Earnhardt wins an Xfinity Series race while in JGR Equipment.
2.) William Byron wins his first race in the 24

Molo, disregard my prediction of Byron winning, others have said that already. I'll just go with my first prediction.

Granted, Byron winning his first race was previously predicted but, like yours, it was part of a multiple-part prediction and not a stand alone prediction.

So your original prediction is acceptable if you'd like to stick with it.

Jack Rousch sells interest in team and exits NASCAR.
