NASCAR 2024 - BOLD Prediction Thread

Well if I count the promo Saturday at the coliseum race, Daniel is checked off 😬

Not exactly, as per the game's rules:

"Predictions can concern virtually anything related to one of the three premier NASCAR series (Cup, Xfinity, Craftsman Truck)."

Race wins in the NASCAR Mexico Series are not included. :(

My comment was tic. Yeah he needs to prove it in a points race.

@pjmolo

I want to change my prediction for something a bit more bold.

Daniel Hemric wins the Daytona 500 & follows it up with a top 5 run at Atlanta the very next week.

Bold Predictions submitted by @JJ_14.
SHR wins more races than HMS for the whole season.
I'm changing my prediction.

Justin Haley gives Rick Ware their first ever Cup series victory.
@pjmolo I want to make a slight modification to my prediction.

Justin Haley gives Rick Ware Racing their first ever points paying victory.
And finally . . .

Gets a pat on the back for being BOLD before being escorted from the building.

The new Ford body struggles aerodynamically and causes a combined Cup Series win total for all Fords of five or less wins.
^ May have been cooking something.

Winless at the end of the first quarter. They were similarly not very good from the start either of the last two seasons, but still had two wins by this point in 2022 and one last year.

I thought it would be a struggle, but it's definitely worse than I think anybody could have anticipated. Between SHR, RFK, Penske/Wood Bros and Front Row, they have a dozen cars out there and not a single W to show for it yet. And that's just Cup.

Kind of wild considering that fords have lost by less than 3 inches in two different races this year (Kansas and Atlanta) so far and haven’t won.

Also yes, they may have epically failed at picking their noses this year.

I mean Fords struggles are certainly making mine plausible so far.

And still alive thank you fuel gods...though still a Penske win so SHR needs to luck into some stuff now.

Larson didn't win the double (would have meant winning both the 500 & 600) so I am done or out.

The final result of at least one race in the 2024 NASCAR Cup Season will be determined in a hearing or meeting held no less than 24 hours after the conclusion of the event.

Bonus prediction: The driver who crosses the finish line first in this race will not be the winner.

Double bonus prediction: It will be a playoff cutoff race, the decision won't actually affect the championship outcome at all, and the hearing may even be televised.
Still time in the year for these to come true.

The first line of this post will be considered the prediction submitted by @virtualbalboa.

The follow-up predictions make it that much more interesting.

Interesting prediction.

Was the final result of the Richmond race (that Austin Dillon won) determined during the hearings or meetings that were held by NASCAR during the days following the race ?

Or did the meetings simply determine that Dillon wasn't eligible for the playoffs despite winning the race ?
