Nascar Craftsman Truck Series 2024

This one baffles me. Fine someone for going to vote in person? They claim they would have let him out early in the afternoon to make it back to vote in person. They do realize he has to go back to Wisconsin right?

No, fining someone for missing a required PR session. Barring an emergency situation, why he missed is irrelevant.

From the City of Madison's web page:
In-person absentee voting begins two weeks before Election Day. It ends the Sunday before each election.
He could have voted in person in advance. He could have voted absentee by mail.

As a playoff contender likely to make the cut, Majeski should have known he'd likely have job conflicts this week. Plenty of people have scheduled conflicts preventing them from voting on Election Day. (Another reason it should be a national holiday on a weekend, but that's another discussion.) Regardless of what they want, they use the available methods to vote early. I've been one of them.

He had options. He chose to not exercise them. Because of his choice, he missed a job requirement. No sympathy here.

Was he not aware there was an election coming up? There were plenty of other options available where he could have voted and made his commitment. Millions of people have to work on election Day.

I think we'll have to agree to disagree on this one....

Thank you, Ty, for doing your part to deliver Wisconsin.

Have you ever had to work on election Day? Did you still find a way to vote?
Actually no, I'm always on vacation then. Peak deer season lol!

Even then I take time out to vote.

Pretty sure it came out of his pocket. He definitely has incentive lol. Hammer down.
The team said they agreed with his decision prior to missing the appearance. So I'm not so sure about that.

Either way nascar is beyond dumb if it doesn't get thrown out on appeal.

There is the problem.
A NASCAR spokesman said the team never disclosed Majeski was not available because he was voting.

He should have sent his clone.

I'm embarrassed to say this, but since I haven't been following nascar closely the last couple of years I'm a little out of the loop. I saw the results of a truck race last year and Frankie Muniz listed. I thought wow that's funny that there's a driver with the same name as the old child actor. I didn't realize until today that Malcolm in the Middle is actually a nascar driver.

Loose usage of the term NASCAR driver. 😎

NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is expected to adopt spec front clips for the 2025 season.
The introduction of spec front clips may lead to:
Simplified design and development processes for teams, allowing them to focus on other aspects of their trucks.
Reduced costs for teams, as they will no longer need to invest in custom front clip designs.
Increased parity among teams, as all trucks will have identical front clips, potentially leading to more competitive racing.
