Nascar Daytona 2025

Holy crap... a new genre.....I have been arguing about what "great racing" is, and now I have to figure other "real racing."
Nah, “Real Racing” has been in the lexicon of Racing-Forums.com during my time on here during various complaints of races in pre race, race and post race threads. The verbiage just hasn’t been used in a decent amount of time, but it’s one of the go-to’s for the party poopers, hell I think I’ve been guilty a time or two myself of using the term “real racing” on here.

Skeptical at the time he bought in. I recall wondering if he was just another celebrity owner. He stuck around much longer than I expected but I'm not surprised he's left. I'm not sure what new audiences he introduced NASCAR to or how in love he is with us fans, but I'll bet you large change he's never seen at a NASCAR race again.

Hell, MJ's only been around for, what, three years?
He brought in various viewers from area code 305 and World wide. Because he’s Mr.305 World Wide. It’s too early for this, I’ll see myself out once again.

Ridiculous statement. Real racing as in not having to rely on others to pass. Maybe lowering the banking. But whatever some sure get butthurt when you mention anything even even partially negative about Nascar.

I remember it well and see it both ways. I just have a hard time with 'racing' where you need help to advance or drop like a rock if you are out of line. But it is what it is I still watch it.
Enjoy the race today, green flag at 2PM eastern.

Rain is on the schedule for 2 - 5. This appears to nicely accomplish getting in all pre-race activities and the cars on the track for the inevitable rain delay TV broadcast. Then to our surprise we will see a replay of last years race where Byron may or may not win again. We will get to see a nighttime Daytona 500 on some obscure Fox channel.
Boy, I think you nailed that. That front looks like it will arrive before 2:00.

Can someone please post here when its safe to turn on the broadcast after all the political butt kissing nonsense is done?

Yeah, I love Cedric, but that was pretty lame
I don't need taped skits.

I don't need extended shots of people in the stands.

I don't need recordings of drivers awkwardly mugging before going to commercial. I'm not six; I don't need to told there's an ad coming up.

If there's green flag racing going on, that should be the priority at all times.

I imagine it's at least 8 before we are going

So tell me how you fill the time? Stop with your FOX hard on brother
They don’t even air most of the pre-race ceremonies.

I didn’t mind the Anthony Anderson cookout thing or some of the other segments. When they sit there and describe to us what’s going on when they could show it live, different story.
