NASCAR forces Ryan Ellis to remove "Keep Back" decal

So much for free speech in America anymore.
Tell that to Denny Hamlin
The Hamlin fine was silly, and a mistake IMO, but I wouldn't go as far to say that it and the Ryan Ellis deal are free speech issues. NASCAR is a private organization, not a government entity. They're free to try to censor the drivers all they want. Don't get me wrong - I agree 100% with the guy in the video that said that it creates a public perception problem when they do that, just as it does when it is done in other sports, but they're perfectly free to do it.

Well Mr Crum should have thought about that before he did something stupid like putting another driver's life in danger.

It was immature and childish let's leave it at that. Drivers know the risks, and it didn't look intentional either he just wasn't clear when he came down, happens all the time.

Thankfully racing has a lot of good but primitive or at least entertaining qualities. Leaning on each, taking the air off of the spoiler, bump and runs, How about Gordon sticking to Kahne like white on rice at Indy to make him consume the fuel.
Or Tonys would wreck his mama for a win personia?

Then here comes an obscure guy with his sign, and the jaws drop and smelling salt is administered for the offended.

I agree with NASCAR's decision. If the line were not drawn here, where would it be drawn?

Verbally insulting drivers is one thing (a problem NASCAR should stay out of unless on-air profanity is involved), however, insulting drivers through decals on actual race cars is going way too far and should not be allowed.

Andy thinks that just because he hates NASCAR that everyone else should as well. Eff that. Life is too short to be miserable she something you claim to enjoy.
