Brian and Mike made sure they got a female driver on the pole so all important networks would pounce on the news. A fast car with hands on the time clock will win the pole every time. Nascar has made many bloopers and blunders in the past and this is another, it will only last thru the first race and then the fans will realize it was only a fluke made possible by controlled efforts. Since Dodge is out until 2014, I'm taking a vacation from Nascar, I will watch a few laps but will not get involved like I did last year........Hope all you fans enjoy the fiction of racing........lol

So they fixed all of testing and all of practice also where she was fast there the whole time?

That's probably a good idea, maybe you should pick another sport altogether. What a doof.

Anything that Hendrick has his claws in could be fixed. Tampering with the score box is a good start. Traction control, 380 ci engine, Nascar needs help with drawing fans, they were beginning to lose fans by the thousands. I'm not saying it's a cut and dried theory but it is sure possible.

It's also possible (well, probable really) that you have a collection of aluminum foil hats and black helicopters flying around your home.

I'm sticking with Occam's razor principle here.

I also sell WOOL remover kits. Sometimes it's necessary to have help with your Nascar fiction racing...;):)

This thread is proof that there should be an IQ test given before a membership is is issued for this forum.:)

IQ means........Inconclusive Qualifying.......Meaning Nascar Brian can rig his numbers any time any place he wants to....:jamming:

I think Shobud1 is on to something, but I'm waiting for proof that qualifying was fixed. If GoDaddy features a new commercial during the Daytona 500 showing Danica pole dancing, we'll know it wasn't made in just a week and the whole thing was fixed.

If Ricky got 2nd I would say they fixed it.:D

If nascar wanted to rig a race, it would be real simple to do. A message to the CC the week before that he shouldn't worry too much about tech is all it would take.

I just gotta say , that is one strange lookin dude , and his ideas are a little horsey too.IMO

Proof is just common sense or maybe I should say TWO legged horse sense. Speed had a full hour of Daytona qualifying special with the name Danica Patrick mentioned 87 times. ESPN, NBC, CBS, ABC, CNBC, MSNBC and I'm sure others had an update on the qualifying. What else would get that attention, not Jr, not Jeff, not anyone else in Nascar could have raised enough attention to gain a hand full of new fans. Nascar needed something to boost the reputation of left turners. The # 10 was tuned to run flat out, all she had to do was hold it between the lines. The score keeper was probably Brian or Mike or maybe the combination of Mike, Brian and Pemberton, then they all three probably finished their pints of bourbon......

Sounds like they aren't the only ones drinking.

New to the boards myself, as for Danica, I heard way to many jokes today about her winning the pole, LOL but I don't think it was fixed. As another poster said way too many eyes in the garage and not many secret's are kept.

Welcome to the board BamaFan . I don't think there is anyone on the board or any driver on the track who think Nascar would do that .

Nascar has many meetings with drivers and crew. The drivers and crew plus owners make a big salary, big enough to do most anything to keep that check rolling in. Nascar is in trouble with fan participation, all drivers love their job and check, at meeting it was announced that we Nascar has to do something to gain support, (Look fellows we need to get a girl (Patrick)on the pole this week so we can draw attention to the public). How many drivers would say hell no I'm not gonna go along with that....none.....Take notice to all the attention Patrick has had since the pole, CBS, NBC, FOX, ESPN, MSNBC, CNBC, Speed channel ONE HOUR SPECIAL POLE SHOW, talk shows, etc. .........Nascar wigs are desperate.

Daytona has always drawn alot of hype from the media, that's because it's the Super Bowl of racing. Janet Guthrie drew alot of media attention when she ran in the Daytona 500. I don't think it was Nascar's intention she win the pole, all 3 of the Stewart -Hauss cars were fast, I think she just hit the right line and other factors such as wind were with her. But making the pole dosen't always mean you can make 500 miles and win the race. I think if she could pull off a win or a top 5 then she would silence the skeptics. But I don't think the odds are on her to do so.
