"Why" doesn't matter now...
YEP! It's been decided (by whatever means one chooses to accept) that Miss Thang will lead the Daytona 500 field to the Green Flag. Everything else is just horsepucky!!

Not only that but it beats the hell out of watching golf...Yep, that's what I'm saying. The numbers can be altered by Nascar wigs and the proof will be in the laps made at Daytona when you see Patrick fading thru the pack like a check written with disappearing ink. Nascar is only interested in ratings and fan participation. Nascar has the pen in hand to change or alter outcome of 90% of all phases before, during and after a race. Look, Listen and comprehend all aspects of Nascar and you will see what's happening. It's been going on since the first race back in 1949 when Bill France was cheating with his 1949 Ford. Notice the favoritism of certain drivers, Teams mostly with GM cars. Slick Rick is the latest birthday boy with money to sweeten the Nascar pot. All this is made possible by the many rules Nascar has made thru the years. They have it pretty much like they want it with the changes they have made. Pit road speeding, yellow flags, debris cautions, a the list goes on for miles. The only thing that makes any sense is what they have done to make the driver safer while driving the car.
Unless Tigers Ex shows up with his clubs. Not only that but it beats the hell out of watching golf...

Shobud1 is the most entertaining poster on this board right now.
The 1949 Ford in the inaugural NASCAR race that cheated was driven by Glenn Dunaway and owned by Hugh Westmoreland for having heavy duty springs. The win was awarded to Jim Roper in a Lincoln. Westmoreland sued NASCAR but a judge ruled in the favor of NASCAR.
The pit road speed limit was imposed after the tragic death of a crewman.
NASCAR change rules back in the day but that has lessened considerably since mostly because sponsors demand a fair playing filed. A sponsor in todays fiscal climate wants the same treatment and fairness for all teams.
Crap, I was going to vote for you.
That's all I need.
Don't start that. You know Andy will be blabbering by here soon. You and Romney.
