It shows the integrity of a man like Bob to have the racing fraternity saying so many good things about him.

I agree and I also think it shows the depths Nascar has fallen in popularity that a guru like this could be kicked to the curb wouldn’t you agree?

This has nothing to do with Nascar, it is all on ESPN who don't have any TV rights to this division of Nascar.

If that is the case some other media company will snap him up in a heartbeat if he is as good as everyone claims.

ESPN has laid off well over a hundred of it's staff recently, maybe we should start a deathbed thread.

I person covering Nascar only at ESPN. Does Craven even go to the track?

Interesting motivation for doing the job and not a bad one at all. Nascar needs more people like him trying to influence others to check the series out to see if they like it.

I think Nascar should pick him up as a PR person.

Nascar could hire him for one type of crowd and SOI for another as they are both strong Nascar enthusiasts

It kind of the industry they work in. Sucks though.

I have no doubt he'll be working the races next year. He's pretty much the top dog on the NASCAR beat.

Another note: Jeff Gluck telling USA Today to kick rocks after they were treating him poorly and going independent has been a very solid career move. Bob's got options.
