As this year's game is close to winding up with the championship not likely to be decided until the last race of the season, it's worth noting what happens in the event that two or more players end up with the same number of total points at the end of the season.

Rule #12 states:

"The game champion will be determined by the player with the lowest amount of points after the 36th and final points race. In the event of a season points tie among the game's players, the game champion will be awarded to the player with the most "1st place" picks, then the most "2nd place" picks, etc. until a champion is decided."

To clarify the matter, the number of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place picks to date by each player with a mathematical chance of winning the game will be included when picks are posted Friday.

Deadline for this week's pick is Friday, November 10th, noon Eastern time.

Kyle busch this weekend for me boys.....haha still cant cheer for the SOB haha

I do think it's, by far, the best and most strategic game on the boards. You've got to take into account the season in its entirety to play and play well.

I'm thinkin' that @dpkimmel2001 hit the nail on the head with that comment as the strategies used by various players throughout the season will certainly make for an interesting end to the game.

By the looks of this week's picks, and a glance at what driver's are left to be used, it appears that, for all practical purposes, the game's championship just might be decided at Phoenix.

I'll leave my comments at that so as not to have an undo influence on the picks to be made for the Homestead race.

The addition of the "Tie Breaker Picks" columns shows the number of races that a player has picked drivers that finished 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place. As mentioned in an earlier post in this thread, these "tie-breaker" numbers will only be important in determining the game's champion in the event that two or more players end up with the same number of total points at the end of the season.

Harvick looks to be a popular choice next week .

Oh great, PJ. It's my birthday and I'm eliminated. Way to kick a guy when he's down... LOL. But hey, I'm still racing for the amazing guys and gals back at the shop... and all my sponsors who help us out so much.

Love the tables.. I actually learned a lot about this game this year. Going to play much differently next year. Thanks again for everything Mr. Molo.

Unless Kez wrecks or Hamlin wins, I see Kez as the 4th contender for Homestead. I'm a BK fan, but I'd love to see a Ryan Blaney win today. Go Ryan. I like that guy. I think I like him better than BK, but Bad Brad is the Talladega master now.

A belated Happy Birthday to @LewTheShoe as conflicting rumors have it that with this birthday, he's either now eligible to collect social security or finally old enough to drink legally. :D

I'm thinkin' the first one is more likely. ;)

Obviously, anyone more than 80 points behind the leader with two races remaining is SOL as far as winning the game's championship and a podium spot would be quite a long shot for anyone not already in the top five. But finishing with a top five or top ten spot in the standings is still possible for many of the players.

@DUN24 is in an interesting predicament as, in order for him to win it all, his picks in the last two races must win and the picks of game leader @Michfan must finish dead last. Also, the players currently in second through fifth place must all fall off the face of the Earth. Good luck wit dat.

Finally, the chances of @2 Sweet taking the title officially evaporated due to his picking of the same driver (Landon Cassill) as @Michfan for the Phoenix race. With that pick he'll remain at least 51 points behind the game's leader heading into the final race at Homestead, a deficit impossible to make up in just one race. :(

Cassill crashes out on lap three (sorry @Greg ). Jimmie and Chase come out of turn four on the last lap neck and neck for the win. Logano and kybu come in third and fourth. :D

I need for Kyle Busch and Joey Logano to have enough trouble to finish behind London Castles today, or I will be eliminated.
If I survive that test, I will also need Michfan to have a very bad DNF at Homestead, and for my driver to win.
About a one in 10,000 chance of it all working out.

Pshhh, Joey Gase is a shoe-in for the w today. I ain't even worried about it :p

3 horse race next week. Top 3 seperated by 26 points for homestead. I have a shot at 10th...

Yeah, I might be in trouble. Gotta go with McDowell. I got a shot though. He pulled off 10th last year at Homestead, maybe he can do it again

You will have a 20 point lead its going to be fun to watch

As we head to Homestead for the last race of the season, the 2017 NASCAR Pick 'Em game, like the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, has four participants in contention for the season championship.

With one race remaining, the game's championship contenders consist of four players with a mathematical chance of winning it all: @Michfan, @Snappy D, @jpell15, and @Greg.

Going into the last race, @Michfan, atop the leader board following 27 of the 35 races to date (including an astounding 24 consecutive races), maintains a 20 point lead over second place @Snappy D, who had the game's best finishing pick at Phoenix in Kyle Busch.

The game's top five looks to be pretty well settled with @2 Sweet joining the Championship 4, however, several players still have a good chance of cracking the top ten in the standings by season's end.

Good luck to all.
