NASCAR Pick 'Em 2018 - Watkins Glen

I am bummed, as nearly every A driver pick I’ve made has had crap happen. Hamlin had the pole, was running great, then idiotic pit screw ups pushed him backwards. Congrats to those doing well. Not giving up, but I will be hard pressed to finish in the top 15 at this point.

Cheer up, your "A list" driver picks have done better than most.

Your first five "A list' picks all had a top ten finish.

Only in the last two races (when Larson finished 23rd and Hamlin finished 13th) have your "A list" picks disappointed.

Like me, your challenge now is to get a decent finish out of the four or five "C list" drivers that you still have to use.

I'll take a 9th with Kurt. Though now that both road courses have come and gone, I dont know where I will use AJ as I really use no strategy at all.

A golden opportunity squandered...

Mired in mid-field, we arrive at Watkins Glen. Seven of the eleven players ahead of me pick Allmendinger, a driver I already used to good effect, scoring an 8th at Martinsville. "All that glitters is not gold" as they say. My rivals are overlooking the sad fact that JTG Daugherty has been less competitive in 2018 than before. AJ will surely press hard and likely tear up his stuff...

My Plan: A top-5 finish by my brilliant & clever pick (Joey Logano), combined with a torn up racecar by The Dinger, and I'm right back in the game. The trap is set. Time to execute. Victory will be sweet!

Well sh!t. Logano and Allmendinger get together on lap 1, Joey is in the garage with a P37, and AJ runs all 90 laps for a decent finish. This game sucks.
