We're still reviewing it since the other person was closer on the year.Do I win?
It's been 3 years since the last question, so I'll post a new one. I answered the last question anyway, lol.
Aside from his fluke Daytona 500 win, what other track did Derrike Cope win at in the Cup series?
To me it was somewhat flukey in the sense that he never came close to winning another big event like that 500. Also, it took one of the craziest turn of events (flat tire on the last corner of the final lap) to pull it off.It wasn't a fluke. Yeah, maybe Earnhardt SHOULD have won it, but he didn't. Cope ran strong all day, was in the right place at the right time, and capitalized. And the fact that he won another race at a different track, the same year, proves it wasn't a fluke.
I doubt you meant it that way, but I see all kinds of comments (not on R-F) about how Cope sucked and had one lucky win his whole career, which is incorrect.
Cope lucked into the Daytona win and would have finished a respectable second had Earnhardt not cut down a tire. And had Cope not been the recipient of that unfortunate situation and finished second, who would have remembered? Those were the two highlights of his career and achievements very few ever attain. Not taking anything away from Cope but his record speaks for itself.Cope did win at Dover the same year.
Trevor BayneIt's agreed that, contrary to urban legend, the 1990 Daytona 500 was not the only Cup race won by Derrike Cope.
But there are several drivers that only made one trip to victory lane following a Cup race, that being after winning the Daytona 500.
Name one of those drivers.
Austin Cindric (so far)It's agreed that, contrary to urban legend, the 1990 Daytona 500 was not the only Cup race won by Derrike Cope.

That would be Mario AndrettiTrevor Bayne and Austin Cindric are correct but there is at least one other driver that won only one Cup race, the Daytona 500.
Fall 2008 at Talladega, the one where Regan Smith went below the yellow line. Subway was his sponsor and it was Tony’s only win in a Toyota. What was Tony Stewart's last win for JGR, what year & who was his sponsor for that race?
Joe Nemechek, Ricky Rudd, Bill Elliott, Bobby Hamilton, Rusty Wallace, Ricky Craven.6 drivers got their final Cup win in 2003, who were they?
Elliott and Craven are correct, but not the others. Hamilton’s last win was in ‘01, Rudd’s in ‘02, Rusty’s and Joe’s were in ‘04.Joe Nemechek, Ricky Rudd, Bill Elliott, Bobby Hamilton, Rusty Wallace, Ricky Craven.
I had Bobby Labonte but changed it to Hamilton because I wasn't sure.Elliott and Craven are correct, but not the others. Hamilton’s last win was in ‘01, Rudd’s in ‘02, Rusty’s and Joe’s were in ‘04.
Correct on the four you listed. The other two are Michael Waltrip and Robby Gordon.Bill Elliott
Ricky Craven
Bobby Labonte
Terry Labonte? Was that the year he won the Southern 500?
I'm stumped on the others and am going to be mad when I look it up.
Huge brainfart on my part. I've always known Mikey's last wins came in 2003.Correct on the four you listed. The other two are Michael Waltrip and Robby Gordon.
