umm, he spun somone and got the win and they were going to go after him?

that's a total guess...
good guess...but nope.

pandoara....the rules of the Trivia Quiz is that all questions have to be Cup related...no other series.

hint :
School days, school days,
Dear old golden rule days.
'Readin' and 'ritin' and 'rithmetic,

The reason I asked if it were Cup is Bobby Isaac only won 1 race early in his career the 64 race and did not win again till the 7 th yr witch would be 1/2 way thru a 15 yr career .

Check you sources. My info shows Bobby winning his first Grand National Race in 02/21/64 at Daytona. He did not win a Grand National race in 1966.

Bobby Isaacs first NASCAR race was Charoltte 61 he didnt race in 62 and he didnt win untill 64.He then had a 3 yr drout til 68 when he won 3 times .
As I said you could fill pages with Bobby Isaac trivia. Did you know they are not even sure what yr he was born in .There are storys about Isaac on the net that are totaly false like that he couldnt read or that he got in a fist fight with Howard Mack his crew chief .
My post of 66 was a typo

I give up its easier to find out things about guys that ran the beach once then Isaac

It is probably time to re-post the rules of Nascar Trivia:

You must be the first person to answer the previous question to have the privilege of posting the next question, and only after the answer has been confirmed by the person that asked the previous question.

Multiple questions are a no-no. Two parters are ok if they specifically relate to each other and significantly contribute to the main question.

Questions are to be limited to Nascar's Cup division (realizing that it has had a few name changes) from 1949 until current.

I will withdraw my previous question since it is subjective and will replace it with one that is backed by actual documented facts:

Name the race that had 4 siblings competing in it as drivers and name the siblings. This should be an easy question for y'all.

subjective or not lets hear the answer to the last question
Sorry, no dice. It was my mistake to post the question and I will not add to it by making a statement that may take away from Bobby's career in Nascar. The info was a quote from Bob Latford though. Latford goes on to say that Bobby could not get a ride today as all he could do "was drive".

Now on to my question:

Name the race that had 4 siblings competing in it as drivers and name the siblings. This should be an easy question for y'all.

No dice ? Seems you asked a question and had an answer that was not true whats the penalty for that ?
Bob Latford was a bit of a hack I would take his stuff with a grain of salt .He never let the truth get in the way of a good story .

1949 Daytona, Tim, Ethel, Bob and Fonty Flock.
Way to go kat. You are right on the money with ALL the answers. Most would have missed Ethel and she beat 2 of her brothers , Fonty and Bob.

:)

What was Nascar's 1st major crisis, what happened in what year and where?

This should be an easy one :D

would you be refering to the 1959 daytona 500 and lee petty and johnny beauchamps photo finish?

June 19 1949 Glen Dunaway sued Nascar after winning Charlotte and being DQ for an illegal shock wedge .

That did happen Pandora, but this incident was in the 50's.

Hint.....Virginia. :beerbang:

hmmm, I was thinking of the Southern 500 race when Bobby Johns went off track into the crowd killing a person...but that happened in 1960.

hmmm, Virginia in th 1950's.

May 57 at Martinsville 5 people were hurt from flying debris and all the manufacturers pulled out of nascar .

NASCAR's first major crisis was fans who used to sneak over the sand dunes at Daytona Beach to watch the racing without paying admission.
Big Bill solved that problem with some borrowed fencing and a bunch of hand lettered signs warning folks to "Beware of the Rattlesnakes!"

Sort of set the course that NASCAR has taken with the fans ever since.
"Tell 'em anything and take their money!"

P.T. Barnum and J.Alex Sloan would be proud. Or jealous?

DING DING DING! Your turn Pandora! :beerbang:

Dale Earnhardt had a beautiful personal boat on lake Norman for years its name was famous and more recentlly so did Jr. Jr just donated his boat a (33 ft Larson) to charity to be auctioned off .
What was Dales and Jrs boats names
For Lake Norman residents only what is Mikeys current boats name

Still 1 out of 2 , As I said Jr just gave his boat to a charity to be auctioned off and he bought the boat in the off season before he started cup racing ,thats a hint .
Doesnt anyone on this board live on or around Lake Norman ?or ever been to the Raft In ? Keep tryin

Muggle not thats kool i have been there a few times and its great . Have you ever herd of Raft In where all the boats tie up ? .I herd that they may cancel Raft In because of people getting naked .Uncomfirmed reports say that Jr and his girlfriend at the time ,and I dont know who that was got naked and swam around .at 2001 Raft In .
Muggle not you have to answer what Mikeys new boat name is to win the rest of you just have to give the the name of the 33 ft Larson that Jr Just GAVE AWAY TO CHARITY.

Muggle not can just e mail her son for both answers so it should be a little harder for her .

Muggle not just give us Jrs boat name forget Mikeys boat and we can go to the next question ,

Following the precedent of muggle not to give the answers on page 41 I guess nascarwomen is the winner for the correct answer of Sunday Money for Dales boat .
Strange that muggle not wouldnt know the name of the most famous boat on Lake Norman since Sunday Money .I guess she could be astranged from her son and never been to his house on the lake or her son could be the one person on the lake that doesnt know Jrs boats name ?
Your turn nascar women .

We all know that Smokey Yunick ran the" best damn garage" anywhere. But.....do you know his first name???????????

Wasn't he Henry?

He was a brilliant author, received many awards outside of racing, and could sure fly a plane!

Henry and he has grandsons that race in the area . The best seafood in the area for the price is right next door to his old shop its called Parks Seafood check it out if you come down to the race . He could be seen most days driving around Daytona in his black VW Rabbit that he said got well over 100 miles to the gallon that he built
