Nationwide at Daytona

Ever since the introduction of the COT they have royally screwed the excitement of plate racing. A few years ago I remember Gordon saying he actually yawned in the middle of the race. If the car wont get better rhey need to shorten these races so they will plate RACE and not plate "sit in line for 240 laps" and then race. The 500 was horrible do I don't expect the 400 to be any different.

And the Gen 6 car is even worse on these big tracks than the old cars because of aerodynamics.

Too bad NASCAR's never going to learn that the tracks and the drivers are the problem. Tracks that aren't designed for stock cars and drivers who want to ride around and be comfortable most of the day who love these tracks. Race on short tracks and, if the drivers are mad (because they actually have to get up on the wheel), the fans will finally get the show they pay too much money to see.

That was funny watching Kurt Trickles team eating ice cream tonight. I think I will watch that movie later tonight.

Kenseth was fortunate tonite. When he lost his factory pusher, he found a fast Chevy that wasn't a factory car. Logano and Hornish screwed around, held up the field, and blew their honeymoon. Ironic that two Chevy's pushed the Toyota's. The double file restart really screwed then up. Smith didn't lose much ground, a couple of points. So the leaders survived the crashathon. Glad it is over even if it wasn't a crashathon.

It was to break up the tandems. Two drivers could talk to each other so they knew when to swap or so one driver could say to another driver that they have to lift or go high or something.

Tandem racing sucks but, unfortunately, it's better than pack racing.

Not for me, I like the pack

Tandem racing's not going anywhere so people might as well get used to it. The only way they'll get rid of it in Nationwide is to do what they did in Cup - and the Cup races at Daytona are terrible now absolutely no passing whatsoever.

I like the pack and the closeness of the cars, yeah I know about the big one, but I just get brored with races when someone pulls away.

Plate racing sucks, period. I get bored when the field rides around for 490 miles waiting to make their move - and then they don't make a move because they'd rather finish second than risk falling outside the top 10 and losing points. Build a short track, road course or dirt track where those two brobdingnagians are located.
