Nationwide at Daytona

Sadler, Elliott, and Smith only 8 points out with Dillon a distant 4th 29 down. Tight racing, plenty of Cuppers in the field, should be a wild one. Kahne, Logano, Larson and Busch entered from the cup side, Scott, Wallace jr, and Dillon were fastest in practice.

big wreck in qualifying.....sudden rain came, caused it

Hammond thinks that only a veteran driver can tell when it's raining :XXROFL:

I don't get it. If your spotter called it when you are in turn two and you wipe out after turn 4. how is that anybodies fault but your driving?

wetter than they thought, to close to the front car spinning

Dang it, qualifying was getting good, Kyle almost took out himself and all the rest of the Gibb's and managed to cry about it and make it another drivers fault.

I have never seen a driver who was more selfish and self centered than Kyle Busch. What a big head. it is no wonder why so many can't stand him running in the lower series, it would be different I think if he didn't act like he was giving them all the privilege of sharing the same track with him.

how silly can they get in the booth

DiBenedetto could sub for Earnhardt at Daytona:

Matt DiBenedetto will likely relieve NASCAR Nationwide Series driver Jeffrey Earnhardt during the first caution [Friday] night at Daytona International Speedway. DiBenedetto will himself try to qualify for Friday night's Subway Firecracker 250 in the #46 Chevy Camaro, but he is only scheduled to run a handful of laps for The Motorsports Group. Shortly after, he'll head over to the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller pits to replace Earnhardt, if needed. Earnhardt, the son of former NASCAR driver Kerry Earnhardt and the nephew of Dale Earnhardt Jr. broke his collarbone in a motorcycle accident earlier this week. DiBenedetto, a former Joe Gibbs Racing development driver took some laps in the team's #4 JD Motorsports Chevy in the only practice session Thursday to get fitted in the seat and get comfortable inside the car.

His relative, Sr. drove with broken bones and Daytona is one of the easiest tracks to drive hurt. Sorry Kerry, you ain't no race car driver. You already proved you can't drive a cycle either.

80% chance Friday and Saturday of rain. Monday? 90%, Trying not to cuss that overpopulated, paved over swamp, but for the self proclaimed B.S. "world center of racing" Brian should be able to do something about this.

that was a bad wreck Bodine was in that Mike Wallace ended up winning....Kurt Busch caused the wreck

Don't want to miss the start if they have it. Some of those guys in front aren't going to be able to hold it together unless the faster guys cut them some slack. I don't think the "king" of N'wide can stand the underlings being ahead of him, and his new best buddy Darrell Jr. will probably pull something. Going to be gooood!

Of course this happened to rear of the field guys who now have had their weekends ruined.

They probably should've stayed on pit road, if they can't afford to get into a mess on a plate track during knockout qualifying.

Pirelli world challenge auto racing on NBCSN, road america a hell of a road race track one of the top two or three in the U.S....NOT RAINING there. If you want to see some racing instead of hot dog eating.

Driver introductions are on hold as rain is falling.

Still raining so doubt an on-time 7:50 green for Nationwide race but w/nothing behind this current cell I think can get started between 8-9.
