Nationwide at Daytona

I'm not a plate fan. The GWC was the best part of the race....because they were allowed to bump draft. Wake up, Brian France; please...

Not the Bubba part. He is mentoring that kid in the right way. But shhhhhh, no fun unless we talk **** about him. :D
lets see, the 20 spun out all by himself, and then later he turned Gaughn, were you watching the same race I was?

he may end up being his replacement at JGR

Kasey Kahne is a Cup regular. Just want to make sure everybody remembers that.....well, for now anyway.
not sure if Kasey knows it

but really that was impressive

I love Bubba. Wouldn't mind if it came to be.

by tomorrow.....does ryan seig get pushing penalty.....kahne gets a pass ?

well Jr had both cars 1 and 2, and Elliott learned a lesson the hard way by not taking care of your fuel in the cell.

brad daugherty called this..... pushing thru final turns finish win .... in pre race. ha!

Amazing ending. I have a good friend at Daytona --- she called me asking "where did Kasey come from?" LOL
She said the fact they didn't wreck that last 1/2 lap was a miracle.

She's also hoping the rain holds off tomorrow. Said it was terrible today.

No pushing until GWC, is the rule. I think.
And if no GWC? Thats such a bs rule.

So NASCAR has implemented rules to help prevent the chance of the big one, but then advertises these plate races by showing the big one. Jfc. Pushing & bump drafting is the essence & excitement of plate racing. Take it away & you might as well just watch cars zoom on down I-95

I was joking. I should have said, No pushing until GWC but only if JRM car has a shot at it...:D

100% rule...except for Daytona and Talladega. Ty was giving only 50-75% and Chase only 70-80%. That's racing? :idunno:

Your vice president of competition, folks.

Robin Pemberton (in the media center) says that cars moving side-to-side is proof that they are not connected and thus not pushing.
if i suddenly allowed something, that i said would not be allowed just hours earlier, and even penalized a car for just that during the same race, i would claim that too.

Just your typing RF.com cantankerousness concerning a sport that everybody claims to love.

Sounds like it. Tonight was the city firework show which is a GREAT show, so I couldn't have missed it, but I'll definitely be watching tomorrow and I'm sure I'll enjoy it regardless of how horrible the racing is!

Did he ever watch a tandem race? The pusher would "move side-to-side" to get onto the right-rear of the back bumper to get air through the grille.

but will that excuse work tomorrow night. HMS has already called a team meeting telling his teams to push but keep right half of bumper in open air

tnt's explanation on pushing rule oughta be a hoot tomorrow nite ! ha !
fs1 raceday show too !

lest ya'll forget....chase race #6.....12 cars down ta 8 ....is dega !

Don't blame Brian France for the follow the leader race last night, blame the drivers. The cars on the inside could have easily moved to the front of the outside pack as it was coming up, killing the momentum of the inside line and making a race out of it, but they were content in riding the race out that way.

Even late in the race when Ty Dillon was running 3rd and his teammate was leading the outside pack, Ty could have jumped out there and made a run for the lead as that pack was moving up, but he never did.

imo it was a pretty boring race, but I blame the drivers for that.

Just finished watching the race this morning, I dvr all races, all I can say is WOW.

I have to hand it to the drivers, what a finish and made it through clean. Can not say enough about the young drivers in the field, outstanding job.

I think the wow factor comes from the moments of car control at speed and these young guns did a magnificent job Friday night.

Even though I do not care for KB, I will give him an attaboy for loosing the lead to help his team mate Sadler stay in position to get the wave around after Sadler pitted by himself.
