Nationwide @ Watkins Glenn Race Thread

Now this week it really does seem everyone is okay with a Cup guy winning, might be his one race a year but he's still a Cup guy..

Kyle Busch may be the most talented driver ever but is is the biggest crybaby I have ever seen. Ambrose is the real deal on road courses. That guy can flat out wheel a car.

So does that mean every week we should just be happy with who wins? I like the guy and I'd be happy if he won tomorrow but today not so much.

No... At a road course the car quality/talent gap is so huge that it's just inevitable...

Really any race that a handful are in is like that, they've been a few races where the Cup guys got schooled but for the most part once you got like at least 3 or 4 one of them is going to win the race so even that's inevitable.

glad you figured out what the rest of us have known for years. like 25, 30? thanks for the info.

Cup guys battling it out for a win in the nationwide? Cup guys fill the top 5 in a nationwide race?

What a thriller  See if any of them can win tomorrow in their own series. That should be exciting.

How bout that Chase Elliott? First finisher behind the cup snoozers. Beat Larson by a bunch

I think the absence of the curbing at the entrance to the bus stop will make things more interesting tomorrow. That guard rail just sticking out could catch a few if they aren't careful.

Great race, good coverage, awesome picture from my tv screen. Nice run for Ambrose, and Busch. Good finish for Chase on a track he was struggling on.

And Chase extended his Championship lead over Smith from 2 to 12 and Sadler and Austin tied at 13 back, have closed up to 1 point behind Smith.

Great race, I couldn't do the thread in real time because worked then spent time my son, so I DVRd the race. Reading the thread afterwords was fun too..

I really like this kind of finish, a long extended green, two cars up front driving like pros, with the second car slowly gaining. Can the leader hold him off?
Great stuff on any track, and the Glen is one of my favorites.

Well when someone tells me that no one is complaining because it was known a Cup guy would win I pointed out that we pretty much know that all the time but yet we still complain, yet I see to be the only one disspointed that another Cup guy yet again won a Nationwide race. So I didn't just figure it out, read everything before jumping on me please.

I am glad you are here posting your opinions. I have always been under the impression that it is an important part of a discussion board.

i don't care for cup guys running lower series, but i don't mind them in the race, they make it better. they were some wow moments today and it was the cup drivers. well except for WOW, how many times is Trevor gonna screw up.

LOL...i guess a discussion takes at least 2.

not really a fan of road courses cause I believe most of the competition is created by strategy (not a bad thing) and yellow flags (not a good thing). but I found today's race to be pretty entertaining.

a bit surprised at how fast logano was. not surprised at brad. has me thinking Penske tomorrow. ambrose is just plain incredible on road courses. can you imagine if he and earnhardt jr swapped rides tomorrow? kyle: not sure if he will ever have the complete package to be a champion, but he can drive a racecar. confused on the concept of Elliot love and Dillon hate here.is there a difference? bayne: took three times to understand a racer doesn't see him at the quarter panel? regan smith: liked the post race interview. larson: bet he crawls in and out of the pits tomorrow! derrick cope: 22nd!

oops. sorry got to rambling

The race wouldn't have been what it was today without the top 5 finishers. Buncha knuckleheads crashing into each other would've been the most exciting part.
No Cup guys in the NNS race increases the possibility that I'll be interested in other things when the NNS race is televised.
