Yesterday paid $3.42 at Wawa in Venice.

Like the voice of the elevator operator from days of my yout, "going down!"

$4.25 in western PA. $5.29 for diesel. Down, but nowhere close to what it was when the prices started skyrocketing.

Here in Oregon they keep telling us we're the highest price in the country. Then they give all the reasons why that is which are the same ones they always have.

$5.30 this morning at the grocery store. Got 40 cents off from that so brings it down to $4.90. Helps a bit.

Rumour I heard is gas stations are using more than the usual percentage of ethanol in their regular fuels,
Pay for supreme and get more actual fuel they say.

Dunno know about this.
Does regular gas have more ethanol?

E15 contains up to 15% ethanol, versus the 10% found in most U.S. gasoline.Mar 30, 2022

If you live in Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, or North Carolina, Sheetz is selling gas for $1.99 gallon through 11/28/22. Price not avail. in West Va. due to state law.

I don't know where the Washington Examiner comes up with that info but the current Sheetz price in western PA is $3.95/gal. Even where they're based, Altoona,PA, the current price is $4.09/gal. Their story seems to be complete BS and is certainty an example that you can't believe everything you read.

From today's Washington Post, re-printed in the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

>>...Filling up is now as cheap as it was in February, just before Russia's invasion of Ukraine touched off a global energy crisis. AAA reported the average nationwide price of a gallon of regular Wednesday was $3.50, and gas price tracking company GasBuddy projected it could drop below $3 by Christmas. And all of that relief probably helped drive robust shopping over Thanksgiving weekend...<<

When I left home for the holidays 2 and a half weeks ago gas was at its lowest in SoCal at $3.79. I got some in central California for $3.45 2 days ago. I'm excited to see what it is when I get back home in SoCal tomorrow. Maybe $2 79? One can dream. :D

$2.59 here in the Tulsa area. We usually always have cheap fuel in comparison, but low wages so it evens out.

Josh in his big truck can save around 4 grand a month fueling in the U.S. in his big truck instead of Canada. That's some serious savings

Next week we will be leaving for Indiana on Sat morning, and we will be staying in Amarillo Sat night. So, we will be going through Tulsa on Sun and I'm looking forward to the low gas prices from there on east.

@donthaveanickname , we read over here that Germany is in a petrolatum crunch along with natural gas. How bad is it in reality?
Well, some gas stations in my area were briefly out of gas in the summer but it hasn't been much of a thing lately.
In the weeks after the war in Ukraine started, gas and Diesel prices skyrocketed to about €2.30 per liter. The last few months it's been relatively stable between €1.65 and €1.90.
My dad pays about 3 times as much as last year for natural gas to heat our house. The winter has been pretty warm so far so it seems unlikely the country will run out of natural gas.
