New track drying system ready for Daytona (if necessary)

A closer view. The wheels on the side allow for it to ride along the outside wall.

There is a camera in back of unit and driver has screen in truck so can see edge.

You and your paparazzi......... I'm getting quite jealous DP.... :windows:

Yeah he keeps showing just how far reaching his network of spies have infiltrated our sport. Close your bedroom windows Joe or he'll post pictures of you pole vaulting. :D

Too much time in the woods. ;)
Welcome back.
Still have 11 days left, will dvr all the race stuff including the "shootout" and duels but will watch the 500. A big sacrifice because its run on the last day of the season.

U have the longest hunting season I've ever heard of.

Deer season Oct. 20th to Feb. 24th and something is open year round, Turkey, rabbits, squirrel, hogs, gators, always something, but I just hunt deer n hogs during deer season and gators.

Do you have a really long beard and live in a cabin? ;)

This is a funny video. They talk about 'brigades of trucks' doing things like blowing the water to the apron and other trucks to suction the water, or providing compressed air to the Titans. They have 12 trucks on the track, and they describe the system as 'science and simplicity'?

Holy sheet, Batman! Are they going to haul this water sport circus around the country?

Those semi's should be fun to get thru a crowded infield on raceday.

The track would be dry by the time they set it up, and Brian would call it a success. ;)
At least it would keep the fans entertained while they wait.

You know, outside of the obvious the best thing that I can think of about this new track drying system is that we won't have to listen to DW quite as long during these rain delays. There are all kinds of pluses associated with this and I guess we have to thank Brian. Dang, that's tough.

Not listening to DW makes it worth the investment. I for one will send the Brain a thank you card. The thing works better than I ever imagined it could.

Well, it looked like it did yesterday in that demonstration. I'm going to save my final thoughts on it once I see it successfully used during a race.

I'll be amazed if the first use goes smoothly, but it's obvious it will make a huge difference. Most of the race delays were due to drying time, not a non-stop deluge. It will be really, really epic to see the end of the 10 minutes rain, 2 hours drying cycle nightmare.

At least the Fuel is up high enough that Juan can't hit it, unless he launches the 42 off of a truck and.... Well you get the drift.

I see some nice combo shot possibilities with all them square cue balls behind the pickup.
