So he takes Kurt for one year to fill the 29, don't see that happening, maybe Newman not Kurt.

Maybe not one year. Caterpillar and Burton are signed through the 2014 season. After that, if Caterpillar goes elsewhere or leaves all together, hard to imagine Burton staying there. Then, what was the #31 could become the #3 for Austin and whoever is signed to drive the #29 could stay there for a long haul.
 
Hmm yeh maybe...but I just see Childress and Kurt butting heads, could be wrong of course and sponsor dollars are the main concern nowadays, but just seems to me Kurt would be better off staying in the 78. That is a good team and they will get a win with soon, maybe even make the Chase which would attract sponsorship to maybe field a second car in the near future.

Im kind of thinking the 29 will be non existent in 2014. It was only brought in for Harvick as a replacement for Sr.. now that they're going to bring back the #3.. I think the 29 will be used kind of like how the 33 is now.
 
Stewart was so upset with how he treated Newman he has decided to fire himself and extend Newman's contract for several years.

I meant more of the team that is now the #29.
