Pittsburgh should NOT be winning by 14 only ten minutes into the game. LA making a fool of themselves early on.
Since Spanos made it apparent he wanted to sell out the franchise Chargers ‘home’ games - whether in SD or Carson - have been de facto ninth home games for everyone else in the league. Pretty sad really. It sounds like home field advantage for Steelers all the way out there in LA... haha

San Diego fans and residents haven’t abandoned their team.I hate that for San Diego. I remember reading a lot about how much they loved their team.
This is sad for the chargers.
The crowd had a legit D-fence chant rolling for the Steelers there a moment ago.
Based on today’s performances, it should be quite the cripple fight between the Chargers and Titans next week.Even by Chargers standards this is embarrassing
NBC was showing a bunch of stats in which Phillip Rivers holds the record for a quarterback that’s never been to a Super Bowl. So essentially, Phillip Rivers is the Mark Martin of the NFL.Standing on the sidelines, The look on Rivers face: “I’m gonna retire...”

So, we fans should only threaten acts of violence against the referees and not actually follow though with it? I just want to make sure I got it right. What are some of the things we can do to make them fear for their safety? At some point the fans will say enough is enough and take matters into their own hands. Obviously the officials don't deserve to get hurt, but once they start fearing for their safety maybe the NFL will be forced to make some changes. Will that even be enough? Probably not. Unfortunately, there will have to be another game changing officiating screw up that affects one of the NFL's favored teams at a big moment, and MAYBE at that point we'll finally get some changes? Who knows.
I'm beyond tired of the NFL and their ridiculously poor officiating. They seem to get worse every year since the "Instant Replay" era began, and have reached yet another new low in 2019. I understand the human element, obviously they aren't perfect so mistakes are expected. But this goes wayyyyy beyond a missed call here or a ticky tack call there. Penalties are at an all time high (again) and the outcome of games are being manipulated by complete BS nonsense calls on a weekly basis. How is this acceptable? This isn't nearly as big of a problem in any other pro sports league, and it isn't a big problem in football at the collegiate or high school level. So why is it such a big problem in the NFL?
My opinion? Roger Goodell needs to go, his cronies need to go, the idiots in the rules committee need to go, and the officials union needs a complete overhaul. Officials need better training, clearer direction, and absolutely need to be held accountable for their blatant mistakes. Unfortunately, I don't think it'll get any better until the NFL takes a hit financially, and that's the bottom line. But the NFL knows fans won't boycott, so they won't bother trying to change. Hell, they sent a team that didn't even belong into the Super Bowl last year, completely SCREWED the Saints and they didn't even care. They knew the bad press would blow over and their PR "fix" was adding another BS rule that they knew had zero chance to actually change anything, they still refuse to call/overturn pass interference even after review.

Pro football is my favorite sport besides NASCAR. I'm so invested in the NFL and specifically the Browns, and have been for most of my life. That being said, I'm at the point where I really just want to quit. I don't think I could even if I tried, but they make it so tough to continue supporting this trash league when their officiating is so inexcusably bad. There are times when the games have become borderline unwatchable because of the refs. Something NEEDS to change.

Seriously though, I hate the refereeing as much as the next fan but it sure isn't just limited to the NFL. NCAAF is riddled with the same problem. What bugs me about it the most is that they have the opportunity to get the call right through the process of reviewing the play yet they don't even seen to get that right much of the time. Personally I'd like to see Al Riveron be given his walking papers. The guy is either one of the most corrupt individuals in the NFL or he simply needs new glasses. I think when that call goes to New York to review the play, he pulls a coin out of his pocket calling heads or tails.
It’s a cushy part-time gig for the refs. Nothing will truly change until it’s a full-fledged full-time officiating program.I'm beyond tired of the NFL and their ridiculously poor officiating. That's a bummer seeing tough calls like that but your offense kicked a hundred fieldgoals as well. After cooling down a bit, I have decided I am officially done watching football for the year. It's frustrating seeing other teams get screwed by the refs, but I was completely livid yesterday when it happened to Detroit. I am a passionate sports fan and think the team that plays the best should win...not the team that's on the right side of multiple phoney calls. The NFL has a major issue and they must fix it. Obviously I am just one person, so me not watching probably isn't going to hurt their ratings too bad. On the plus side, the majority of my Sundays will now be open to get out and do things.
It’s probably time. It sucks for Mariota because the o-line hasn’t done him any favors, but Tannehill did look a lot better when he came in on Sunday. This was gonna be Marcus’ last year here anyway, he’s in the final year of his rookie deal and there’s no way he was gonna get the money that QB’s are commanding coming off their rookie contracts now. It's Tannehill Time in Tennessee.

Thoughts @ToyYoda?
The nfl has plenty of funding to not only improve the officiating but to get this sky judge thing going.
