NFL 2025-26

Two instances (@ Dallas) now in this very young season where the Giants had a lead with half a minute remaining and lost. Coaching malpractice.

I'm not even sure you're supposed to try to score on first and goal anymore in that situation. The missed XPs are obviously the real killer. But in this new cartoon NFL in which 31 seconds and no timeouts is plenty of time, you bleed the clock there.

I'm not sure what's happened in football in the last few seasons where every defense forgets what their job is in these types of situations but it's become a thing every week.

I never thought I would be wondering if a team should just let the offense score within the last minute of a game but it crossed my mind on that 1st and Goal.

The Broncos have now dropped one they shouldn't have lost (Colts) and stole two with astounding comebacks after getting pounded for three quarters (Eagles and Giants). It's wild how horrible and great Nix can look in the same game. They are very beatable, but opponents need to remember to never let their foot off the gas against them.

How many teams are just letting opponents waltz into the end zone in that situation nowadays knowing they have plenty of time to answer?

I know we get the “FIRE EVERYONE” posts from certain posters, but honestly giving up 33 points in the 4th and allowing a comeback like that definitely deserves a firing.
Daboll and co. were already on the hot seat before getting somewhat of a reprieve after shocking the Eagles. That was by any measure a historic choke job today, so that’s probably the final straw if the Giants are serious about going somewhere with this young core.

Even as simple a decision as the kicker they chose to activate this weekend was just atrocious. Younghoe Koo is on the practice squad and a better choice than this freaking random Irish guy they found.

Yep. That loss should result in firings.
