NFL 2025-26

Little was probably going to kick the game winning FG if not for the (legit but otherwise irrelevant to the play) illegal hands to the face penalty. The ending wasn't Lawrence's fault exactly, the whole quarter was a massive team failure. Also, when the Texans had first and goal from the one, it looked like the Jags were going to let them score before the false start happened. That would have left them with well over a minute needing only a FG. A lot of minor but huge swings in that game late.

The Jags are a rebuilding team. When you pay Lawrence what they pay him, he has to win games as a franchise quarterback. The Jags dominated the first half in spite of Lawrence. His biggest contribution was a momentum changing interception.

There’s a reason former players and coaches and GMs are constantly trashing him on ESPN and FS1. He’s not good enough.

Need to get Heinicke from the Chargers.

Why does it need to be Heinicke? It could literally be any random mediocre QB, you guys will suck for several years.

Heinicke is the best random mediocre QB that comes to mind.

Baalke set this franchise back 10 years with the dumbass shiit he did (JHA contract, Lawrence contract, Walker at #1 over Hutchinson, Urban Meyer, keeping Press Taylor around).

Trevor Lawrence is averaging one, ONE, passing touchdown per game.

Not exactly what one should be satisfied with from a $275 million franchise quarterback.

I am so done with all these excuses.

Blaine Gabbert and Blake Bortles didn’t piss me off as bad as this guy does.

Hard to feel bad for the guy. The team was still playing hard, but they couldn't do anything right late in games and blew lead after lead.

The Giants have three or four losses this season that would be the worst loss for most of the rest of the league. He and the rest of his staff will not be missed.

I won’t be pissed if they let Russ be the tank commander for several weeks either, because Dart needs to quit getting concussed before his brain becomes complete mush.

Some really clueless officiating happening at the end.

Why are we back to both teams wanting the ball first in OT? With a guaranteed possession, I thought electing to kick first and know exactly what you need possessing second was the new norm.
There is no guaranteed possession in regulation games.

Also if it's tied after two possessions you want the third possession

That's the best argument for it. I think it's context dependent. A team confident that it will score a touchdown is probably better off taking the ball first. A defensive team with a weaker offense may be better off trying to force a punt or a FG and then beat that.

But teams play more conservatively with the first possession regardless, so some are going to take the ball second to give themselves the first chance to win outright.

Alright guys, I need help deciding which NBA and NHL teams I'm going to root for. @Michfan @Blaze @gnomesayin @Dudley
