I love how you all jump on Joey when I say something about Larson.... what do they have to do with each other... Larson's stats don't stack up to MOST drivers in NASCAR... not just Joey.
See post #481Go compare Kyle's first cup starts to Joey's. Then compare the teams they did them with. So who looks more promising?
Edit: Don't forget to factor in the 2 DNQs Joey had.
"You race me like a dick, I wrecked... Ill race u like a dick...You wrecked.. were even"... I really don't care I wish he did do it on purpose lol but I don't think he did.. he wanted the win more than revenge...Well at least now after Nascar Now and Race Hub has replayed Joeys radio transmission all week of what Joey said right after the crash last year there shouldn't be any doubt that he did cause the wreck on purpose. I don't know what else it would mean when he said " number eleven now we are even".
First of all.. as far as NASCAR championships.. Joey already won one before Larson
And no... just.... no.

I agree with you on this. It was a racing incident and Joey took that opportunity after it happened to try and take credit for it so that they would be even. If he had known that Denny had been hurt he'd probably just kept his mouth shut.
Denny kind of made that situation what it was. When the car is spinning and aimed for a wall, it's probably time to lock it down and get off the gas. I don't think Joey did it on purpose either, but I would've took credit too
Im not jealous guys. I just have yet to see anything to show this amazing amount of talent Larson is supposed to have. I never said I don't like him and I do think he is better than Dillon... but he has a lot to prove and hasn't done it.. when he does, which I expect him to.. Ill be happy about it.. I like the kid... I just think people are jumping to conclusions.. he ran a fantastic race, but that doesn't say anything other then he was able to get his car working around Auto Club better than anyone else yesterday. In my mind that is not proof of anything.. there are plenty of drivers who have done the same or better in less time. Way less time.. he's talented.. yes... but some people around here are saying he's the most talented in the garage area? That's crazy IMO he hasn't done anything to show that to me yet... even Danica got a 12th at Martinsville last year. He needs to get out there week in and week out in the CUP series and start finishing like he did last week before Ill buy into the hype.
I don't want my words to be misconstrued here guys. I like Kyle Larson and I think he will do good. He is a very talented young man and I wish him the best... but he needs to do it first. He still has a lot to prove.
How long is it going to take Joey Logano to evolve in to an elite driver?
Larson rustled Logano's jimmies yesterday in the battle for the lead before that final caution. I see why Sliced is upset.

I don't mind you calling each other names and trading insults --- as long as it is not in open forum
I'd like to think that most of us here can handle seeing a few every day bad words back and forth. If someone is taking the internet too seriously then they should probably stay off.
Agreed --- I'm trying to keep the thread from turning into a "I can do anything better than you" personal game.I'd like to think that most of us here can handle seeing a few every day bad words back and forth. If someone is taking the internet too seriously then they should probably stay off.

Which is what was happening.

Well said... I should take some public speaking lessons from you lol I swear I wasn't even the one who turned this into a Joey thing either.... this timeAs spectacular as the race was, we'll know much more about Larson by the end of the season.
We've seen lots of "flash in the pans" in the past --- lots of 'show', but no real 'go'.
If he maintains the level of ability over the long season and doing double duty, then I think we've got a new star on our hands.
I was wrong, He is of Japanese descent.I believe he is an Inuit!
Yea I heard that first a few weeks ago and was surprised.. I had no idea lolI was wrong, He is of Japanese descent.
Mother = Japanese American.
Father = Caucasian.
I don't think Denny will do that. I don't think Denny has completely forgave Joey for what he did but i think he will just race him hard, but not for revenge. I also think Joey has probably learned a pretty valuable lesson from his actions and would probably think twice before doing that again. They are pitted next to each other in the garage and they have been seen hanging out talking and laughing with each other, so that's a good start to healing their relationship.I can't wait to see how long it takes Denny to hammer Joey into the fence
Denny said last week that he will race him hard but with respect. I think that's all Joey was after to begin with.I don't think Denny will do that. Speaking as a fan of Logano's, I think Larson is a considerably better driver. You can argue stats all you want, but remember that Logano was driving for Gibbs during the first years of his career. If you need evidence regarding how far superior JGR Nationwide equipment is, look at Kyle Busch's results from the past few years (in particular 2012, when he drove for his own team and failed to win a single race). Nobody's saying that Logano isn't talented, but it took until last year before I could be truly impressed by his driving ability. I was impressed by Larson when he finished second at the Phoenix Truck race in 2012, and I was completely sold on him after the Bristol race last year. Stats-wise, Logano was superior at this time in his career, but in terms of pure driving ability shown at this point in their respective careers, similar to what he did yesterday at Fontana, Larson blows Logano out of the water.
Darn, you're so fast that i didn't even have time to edit my misspelling. But, i agree with you.Denny said last week that he will race him hard but with respect. I think that's all Joey was after to begin with.

Luring your opponent into a false sense of security is key to a successful attackI don't think Denny will do that. 1:20your so ate up, you think you know what your Pony is thinking.
I think it would be the opposite, but who knows you could be right.You take the cup guys out that means these no name young guns start running up front eating up screen time. Sponsors will take chances on that. You think Monster would leave the sport with one of their major competitors already attached to a "no name" NNS driver? Discount Tire would probably just put 100% backing into Blaney. We are only talking about a handful of sponsors. What will happen is sponsors like Dollar General probably would go 100% cup since they already are in cup and the 20/18 car probably goes away. Tax Slayer would probably cut back from being spread throughout Jr Motorsports to just funding the 7. Gamestop would probably either move to cup or go part time with a nation wide driver. So while some sponsor would probably leave, cut back some funding I don't think it will be a huge amount like people think. What will happen is the sponsorship costs in NNS would be cheaper and probably could attract more sponsors.
yeh i do it is boring and way too long. Why draw it out for 500 miles, you saw how good the racing was yesterday, we could have that almost every week if we had shorter races.I could not disagree more...Long races prove way more than short races! Not only in the driver, but also in the equipment and crew. You must despise the coke 600.?
