That last 20 laps was the best racing I've seen in my entire life. Amazing stuff. I'm soooo bummed I didn't DVR it.
The high line was really working today but guys that were fast could pass anywhere, Larson passed high & low, so did several other drivers. Kevin Harvick learned that it doesn't matter how hard you drive it in on the bottom going into 3 if the guy you are trying to pass has a car that runs a good high line.I'm hoping the high line is working tomorrow as well as it held up today.
Beauty of YouTube. The Last 10 laps. I'm sure the rest will be up soon.

I just got the chance to see video of the final laps from TV perspective. It was better live. Nobody was sitting down for the final 10 laps.
Great racing today. I hope tomorrow is just as good.
I was also impressed with how clean the leaders drove today.
Umm pretty much...yeh that!People act like Hendrick just walks around the garage and takes whatever driver he feels like.
further proof this kid is cool / calm /collected..... under duress.

I was running back and forth on top of the grandstand losing my damn mind.
Dude thats freaking awesome
A lot of people are still whining about him taking out CE Falk in a $15,000-to-win Late Model race. I have no problem with it. Both of those guys have the money either way.
You just proved a point or backed up what i said a few months ago about making cup races shorter, better racing if the race is shorter. There is no reason why we need 4 or 5 hundred mile races in Cup, three hundred would be fine.Over the past 2 years I've enjoyed the Nationwide races far more than most Cup races because the races are shorter and they race harder every lap and there's no coasting for 200 miles. That's probably why so many Cup drivers like to race in the Nationwide races there they can race for the entire race.

Exactly.Spending all that time money and effort to attend a 90 minute race would be a bummer.
I could not disagree more...Long races prove way more than short races! Not only in the driver, but also in the equipment and crew. You must despise the coke 600.?You just proved a point or backed up what i said a few months ago about making cup races shorter, better racing if the race is shorter. Exactly.
I never get the call for shorter races. The race length isn't what made the race exciting yesterday, it was more the race to the finish from the last, late caution flag. The same thing happened during the Cup race here last year. A lot of late race cautions produced close racing to the end of the race. It had nothing to do with the race being shorter. It's more about when the cautions fall.
Ok. Sounds like the nascar rule bookI think Kyle Larson gets a pass on the "Cup driver in Nationwide" argument because he's so new to the Cup Series, and he's driving somewhat lesser equipment in NW than the usual Cup invaders. Impressive win today by a very talented young man.
I knew he was a real talent before he came to NWS but watching that race last night made me a concrete believer. Need a guy besides Brad K to root for after Gordon is gone anywaySome of us have known he was the real deal before Ganassi picked him up.
It was wild today, and those sweet general admission tickets I mentioned earlier allowed me to get all the way to the top all day long. Not expecting that much freedom tomorrow.
Yesterdays race was a shorter race, and the 'ride around' part in the middle was shorter than cup races. Like you said, the finish is typically the most exciting part, as it should be. But yesterday we didn't have to watch aero push, and cars lost real speed as the tires wore. What a race!
Cars that the drivers can actually race........... what a novel idea !!! lets call it the "nationwide series" it will be fun

Yep, i like that also. We have a spot that we like for watching the race, but during the driver introduction and the national anthem we walked down and sat right in front of all the action.Another reason I love the nationwide races, you can sit wherever you want. I was bouncing off my living room walls at the end of that race, thats what races should be like all the time. My hats off to all the drivers that gave us that show
Enjoy the race today, I hope you get to see another barn burner
NW cars are slower, and the races are shorter. Hmmm......
Some media guy posted the idea of have 2 full field cup races each Sunday, each half the length of todays races. I thought he was crazy, but the more I think about it, the more I like it.
He did thread the needle a few times.I'm still amazed at how, when (can't just call him Kyle anymore) Busch was running the low line through the turns, he would drift up and squeeze into an opening that was maybe about the size of a car length and a half.
Great wheel-man indeed.
Definitely. He impressed the hell out of the NASCAR world yesterday. With the Hendrick power under him if he can get a good handle on the cup cars he will be successful. Im looking forward to the changeover.. like when all the big dogs now are gone and theres a bunch of new young guys in all the top cars. It may not be for another 5-10 years... but when guys like JJ, Gordon, Biffle, Kenseth, Tony etc are retired.. the new crop. Its not far off.Yes, he does have a lot to prove, SB. The one thing that impressed me yesterday is the fact he kept his head --- didn't let the car get away from him and scrape the wall while 2 of the best threw everything but the kitchen sink at him.
If he can keep it together with the big boys on Sunday, he will have a good career in racing.
Slice, I typed 5 different responses to this post and deleting them all. All I can say is enjoy today's raceIm not jealous guys. I just have yet to see anything to show this amazing amount of talent Larson is supposed to have. I never said I don't like him and I do think he is better than Dillon... but he has a lot to prove and hasn't done it.. when he does, which I expect him to.. Ill be happy about it.. I like the kid... I just think people are jumping to conclusions.. he ran a fantastic race, but that doesn't say anything other then he was able to get his car working around Auto Club better than anyone else yesterday. In my mind that is not proof of anything.. there are plenty of drivers who have done the same or better in less time. Way less time.. he's talented.. yes... but some people around here are saying he's the most talented in the garage area? That's crazy IMO he hasn't done anything to show that to me yet... even Danica got a 12th at Martinsville last year. He needs to get out there week in and week out in the CUP series and start finishing like he did last week before Ill buy into the hype.
I don't want my words to be misconstrued here guys. I like Kyle Larson and I think he will do good. He is a very talented young man and I wish him the best... but he needs to do it first. He still has a lot to prove.

I seem to remember Kyle and Kevin doing that a few times. Great racing for second. What baffles me a little is why Larson abandoned that fast line he had found a bit off the wall, and those 2 stayed right with him while they raced.
When Larson got away from the wall somebody told him on the radio to get back up there, he did so just in time
