You nailed it Skoal!!!!!!!! Peeps always say..... ''It doesn't matter.... they rebuild the engines and trannys and rear gears and sheetmetal after every race anyway!!!''......... well...... I just can't see destroying a perfectly good engine or tranny or rear gear..... That comes from....... like you said ....... kids that never had to repair or pay for equipment they destroyed....... I guess that's why my interest has waned so much for Nascar....... there are no more Junie Donalevys..... Dave Marcis ..... Stavola Brothers..... Jackson Brothers...... (can you imagine Harry Gant pulling a stunt like that in Leo Jackson's car?)I cringe every time I see a burnout for the same reason that you do. It is another reason I don't like plate racing because so much good stuff gets torn to pieces. I gather that you are like me in that there was no extra when growing up and you had to fix, finagle and repair and you don't forget that stuff and it changes the way you look at things.
