Probably more fun in the infield.I love camping out in the the infield for the weekend.

Depends on what you're after. I like both for different reasons.

Watching a race from the infield sucks, as you constantly have to turn if you want to follow a car around.

A swivel chair on the roof of a bus/motorhome would help.

For some people the race is a small part of the weekend. They just like the atmosphere.

I love the infield..Its not as crowded.. Bring your chair and cooler of beer.. Usually sit on a camper and just have fun without sweaty stinky people shoulder to shoulder.. But its a matter of opinion i suppose!
