I'm not a physician, but I'd imagine if surgery is required it's probably a ligament tear

Just speculation but usually when it's ligaments they're not in a hurry to do surgery. (I've had several torn ligaments in the knees). Typically when you do surgery right away it's to set bones.

Chase Elliott had surgery for leg injury snow boarding. Sounds like he’s out for a while. Kyle Busch asterisk title inbound!

Yeah that's a good point. Probably just wishful thinking on my part. I guess we're gonna get the old "lower body injury" hockey treatment on this one for a bit lol.
 
This sucks. I wanted to see Larson vs Elliott duel all year. Oh well life happens, maybe we’ll get to see HMS Super Sub, Jeff Gordon one more time!
 
I wonder if Josh Berry has any Nextgen simulator time?

An unfortunate circumstance for Elliott creates a golden opportunity for Berry. I hope he’s able to capitalize on it.
 
Why have they interviewed Kyle so many times already this week? I swear every time there has been an interview, he's in it. Maybe it's because he won last week or it's his home track or he's in all three series this week. But I think one interview is plenty.
 
I hope Josh Berry runs top 5 this weekend and it leads to a good cup ride. That would be a feel good story.

I hope Chase has a speedy recovery and no long-term problems from his accident. I also hope this incident doesn't cause Mr. H to put some restrictions on what his drivers can do on their off days.

I think it would be hard. Plenty of other teams that would willingly take any of his drivers and allow them freedom
