I know this thread is early. But Burton did screw up two cars in two days before final practice even began.

That's a start for the weekened.

You think JJ would have been smarter than making it 3 wide at Martinsville, especially with Juan.

HA! That's good stuff. Jimmie isn't the best judge of "can it fit" sometimes.

I often wonder what he would be like without Chad. We may never find out.

Especially after he tried it with Jeff and Clint earlier in the year.

I wonder what anyone else would have done driving with Chad in the same car. I suspect any half-competent driver who can provide decent feedback would have at least two titles. As to never finding out, remember when we thought Gordon and Evernham were inseparable too?

Jimmie Johnson has won 60 Cup races and 5 Championships since 2002. I think Jimmie has made Chad look pretty damn good too. You don't luck in to that kind of success because of your CC.

Unless someone does something really stupid today it's gonna be Sadler.

Like his pit crew? Seems like every race they fudge something up and take him from running say in the top 5 to
way back in the pack. Frustration got the best of him yesterday.

Bonehead goes to both Gordon and NASCAR! A car was spinning in the middle of the field and they don't throw a caution? But yet, they throw it for debris that no one can even see. Caused a huge crash at the end. Way to go NASCAR!

So you wanted another gwc?

Wasn't the spin off of turn four? They would have been past the finish line before the caution, which would have meant no GWC.
Okay , I didn't see that the leader had taken the white .

Yeah, I gotta agree. Pretty stupid not to give JJ the credit he deserves.

So many candidates, but I have to give the bonehead to Jeff! That was incredibly stupid of him and now he might not be in the final race. :( Clint Bowyer also deserves a mention for trying to pass Jeff on the apron. He pretty much asked Jeff to wreck him by doing that. NASCAR gets the third mention for not throwing a caution at the end and causing half the field to wreck, and Elliott gets the fourth mention for wrecking himself yesterday.

Really , they passed on the apron all day . And ,high or low , Jeff was intent on wrecking him.

There was time for all cars on the lead lap to get over the line. I kept expecting the caution to come out while the leaders were on the back stretch. It never came. You can see the cars getting sideways in her oil as they come into turn 4. Stupid moves by the sanctioning body trump any single driver's boneheadedness.

All the passes on the apron throughout the day were in the dogleg. That wreck wasn't in the dogleg. I do agree with the second part, though. Clint made it easier for Jeff to wreck him by trying to pass on the apron, but Jeff was intent on wrecking him and probably would've wrecked him anyway.

Are you being silly or serious? Jeff said he came out to wreck Bowyer, and he did. Forget all the apron nonsense.

Everyone keeps talking about Bowyer passing on the apron. The dogleg on the back stretch has always been there, and ther's always been passing on that apron. Hell, the even reconfigured the back stretch and mad that dogleg even wider and the "apron" even more passable.
