Phoenix Cup

On the replay, looked like she was already past the entrnce to pit road when she got spun. Can't go backwards on the race track, and it looked like she was doing about everything she could to stay out of the way.

Yeah she was against the inside wall.

I live in Clint Bowyers home town...where everyone is in love with the guy! I had better keep my Jeff Gordon lanyard put away for a few days!

Jeff said in his interview that several incidents led up to this. Did what he felt he had to do.

Like I said earlier...mess with the bull, get the horns. Clint messed with the bull one too many times.

ESPN is going to milk the hell out of all this in hopes for a ratings bump at Homestead.

But what did Bowyer do today? He raced Jeff hard? That doesn't sound like a good reason to wreck someone.

Still incredibly stupid of Jeff, though.

.

For christ sakes man Gordon took out two other cars! No excuse for that kind of garbage Gordon is an idiot on a massive scale!

Let me guess....you also think that it was okay for Kyle to wreck Hornaday last season at Texas?

what if the #2 had got caught up in that?

What flag was out when Kyle wrecked Hornaday? And what flag was out when Jeff wrecked Clint?
I think me and you and maybe a couple others are in this camp.

Everybody else is like "What if he hit the 2!"

I don't think Gordon was thinking about the two. If he was trying to get the two caught up, good for Jeff, he owns 10% of the 48. LOL

The #2 being taken out would've been ironic considering the calls for Johnson to crash or Montoya to wreck him.

So now that the dust has settled I have a question. Team Gordon VS Team Bowyer or Team Stewart VS Team Kahne from a few years back? Which fight was better?:D

when was that?

Stewart dumped Kahne at Chicago way, way back and the crew chiefs had a discussion about it. Stewart claimed it was the way the Kahne shifted that caused him to get on his bumper and turn him.

Nope. That was a completely different set of circumstances. Think, young man, think.

All day I've been hearing comparisons of Jeff Gordon's one meltdown to other drivers' multiple meltdowns . Wouldn't it be obvious that if Jeff Gordon were to take somebody else out on purpose at Homestead , his penalties would be harsher than this one. And if he continues to do it to others ,the penalties will escalate. This is pretty much a first offence .(At least this year).

I love all the excuses for Gordon taking out a championship contender and 2 other cars. That other guy was in a truck, he only did it once, he's nicer than Kyle..................... Clint deserved it, Hornaday didn't..................if he does it next week too, then he's bad.........

Far from making excuses , I hate what the chickens*** a***h*** did . But some people want maximum penalties applied , when in my mind , Nascar uses a graduated scale which is intended to get the drivers' attention. I would think a one or two race suspension would be mandatory next time he does it.

I don't like guys messing up the championship. They spend the whole damn year building to the playoff, and some jackass flips when he gets rubbed. Hell, Jeff was bumping guys out of the way all day.

nascar got it right with Kyle, but they blew this one.

I disagree. I honestly think that Kyle's was more akin to "three strikes and you're out" deal, because his attitude towards other competitiors , and NASCAR was leaning towards "I'm Kyle Busch, they can't do nothin' to me." While I'm not condoning what JG did, it was a complete dick move, it's not like he's a habitual offender, flipping his nose at NASCAR like KB was. Sure, Jeff was bumping guys out of the way all day, but Kyle had been bumping and crashing guys out of the way for months, and then acting smug about it. Kyle needed to be sat down, Jeff doesn't.
