Phoenix RACE thread --

48 Spotter (on Dale Jr.): Be patient man, I'll send him a Twitter message to quit holdin us up.
Jimmie: He's impossible to pass, what a joke.
Chad: Not for a man with your skills.
All those times JJ held Gordon up...
"6-Time is a little upset. He just expects to be treated different than everyone else"

You guys can show all the videos you want, but, Logano admitted that he took a shot at him but he didn't mean to injure him. So as far as i'm concerned it was Loganos fault.

I think Hamlin was on better newer tires too, and I didnt think Logano was going to make the corner due to tire differences.
But I think Hamlin made it personal, sheet talking Joey all week after Bristol prior to the Cali race.
I dont think Joey would have been as aggressive otherwise.
They both own it my opinion, unfortunately Hamlin paid a bigger price.
I am not going to pull the karma card that is just to easy imo, stuff just happens sometimes.

Engine troubles for Kurt? Not good if you're Harvick.

I don't recall Logano ever saying he took a shot at Denny.

And Denny said he turned left into Logano to avoid Kyle. Problem is, Kyle had already gone by. There's no way Denny turns left that hard and totally loses control trying to 'save his car'. There was a rear camera view that showed clearly Denny turns left once Logano got the better of him.

Denny brings these reactions on himself with his heavy handed, better than everyone attitude. He's pulled this crap on Kez, Dillon and Logano at Bristol. I hate that he got injured, but turning hard left as he did is what caused it all. Watch the vid from the front and Denny doesn't lock them down or correct his wheel until he hits the apron. Inexplicable, IMO.

lol Everyone knew she had a tire rub, and they left her out. Not her fault.

Define "everyone" because the people who are inches away from her car, with all kinds of HD equipment and so on and still couldn't figure it out.

Very legit stuff.

lol The announcers were even talking about her having a tire rub, but yea, it was her fault.

Yep, pretty much. Does anyone honestly think that if the roles were reversed and Joey had the fresher tires/better car at the time, Denny would have just let Joey go and they would have both made it back to the flag, clean as a whistle? Really?

That whole battle had checkers or wreckers written all over it from the get-go. It was good hard racing and was incredibly fun to watch, minus the wreck at the end.

We are "armchair experts", all we know is what the commentators say and may have some to little experience. Those guys know a hell of a lot more than we do.

I posted the video. watch it.

Here you go...

At :15, Denny turns left BEFORE there is any contact with the back of the 22, and while he still has a ton of room up top. Denny pushed Logano down the track, but when Logano tried to push Denny up the track, Denny saw that Logano was going to beat him, and he didn't like it. When Hamlin was asked why he turned left, he said to avoid the 18. The video clearly shows that the 18 was well past by then.

No one is going to change anyone else's mind about what happened at Fontana last year. We know that because we've been over it - numerous times.

Man, arguing about a race last year while the Phoenix race is on live. lol

When I win Powerball, and have my own race team, the first question I will ask when interviewing crew chief candidates will be if they can count backwards from 312. Or 500. Or 250. However many laps the damn car needs to GO ON A FUEL RUN!

Rain could be part of the equation. It may show teams are going all out for wins.

2 Tires only for Gordon? Not sure about that move.
