aside from truex and kyle busch being faster than everyone else every week....everything from larson on down to erik jones is awesomely competitive this season. we saw johnson turn it up to close last season down. we see larson running up front consistently. we saw kez smoke all these guys the first 2 months of the season. and harvick has gotten closer and closer to the front as the season has gone on.
truex will make it to homestead...but if he's racing against kez and larson, two guys who are amazing there....the championship could slip away. i love this format....but "bubble guys" are a thing of the past with the playoff points being introduced. they're like 16 seeds in march madness now. just there to get the event started. won't be fast enough to win and not enough playoff points to advance without wins. the final four will all be deserving this season. won't see any cinderella stories.
