Pocono II Race Thread

Um, they were at caution for several laps BEFORE the rain came. NASCAR pulled that right from a couple of short tracks that I've gone to. 15 minutes of caution before the sky opened up.
And yet another armchair race controller chimes in with his expertise. I have a feeling that race control knew that the rain was minutes away and made the extended caution with that in mind. But nobody can tell you that, because it would ruin your theory that it's all a consipiracy. I swear Andy, you really need to take the aluminum foil hat off off and use some common sense now and then.

That's EXACTLY what I said happened. NASCAR extended the caution until the rain came -- and it screwed the fans out of 5-10 laps of racing.

I didn't say anything about a conspiracy or tin foil.

I like Jeff, but I call it as I see it. They could've gotten 10 laps in during that time they spend on their extended caution.

You call it like you see it all right. Are you going to Pocono to watch the race tomorrow?

It's starting to sprinkle on the cameras. It's over.

NASCAR screwed the fans out of one there. They could've gotten five more laps in during this extra time spent under caution.

There was a bunch of debris and speedy dry out there plus there were guys arguing about positions. And what would a couple more laps prove? Rain happens.

We're not going back racing. The rain is going to last for at least an hour, then they have to dry the track all over again. This track doesn't have lights.

NO! The way you're acting, and like you ALWAYS act, is that NASCAR did it because they, in your words, have no brains at all and never make a good call. Face it, you will never admit that anything NASCAR does is a good call. Seriously, do you even pay attention to what you post here?

I said they extended the caution because of rain. I don't think it's a good call and that's my opinion because they waited 10 minutes.

Damn, that Nicole Briscoe is hot. If she ever leaves Nascar, I hope she comes over to Nhra.

Sportscenter comes on at 5pm... I guess ESPN will just cut to SportsCenter and do postrace from there after they get baseball highlights out of the way.

Watkins Glen coming up next week. Things are starting to look favorable for Jeff Gordon.

I was telling Moejoe last night I thought Jeff would win it today, but I didn't expect it to go like this.

Kez is going to be annoyed with himself for not reacting better to JJ getting loose, unless it was wet already. Either way, he made a nice save and recovery to finish 4th.

So, they could have run those 5 or so laps, had the track get wet, and then ended with with wrecked cars. You are really something else. Wish I could find that brick wall emoticon, because it's appropriate here.

Yeah, when you run several extra caution laps and wait for the rain to come, you screw the fans out of 10 laps of racing. A lot could have happened in that time.
Andy, please remove your head from xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Mother Nature is the one that screwed the fans out of racing. Take it up with her.
